I started taking one of these apart 8 years ago and gave up. Now that my last operational jack is on its way out I looked to UA-cam and found you. Now I’m back on track. You don’t need to zoom in, just listen to what he’s saying and look at your jack.
    Piece of cake. Thanks.

How about showing a camera close up of what you're actually working on?

We're learning as we continue. This is one of our earlier videos. We might re-take! Meanwhile, if you have any questions to the replacement, feel free to email csinfo@genericparts.com , or call. Thanks.

The part around 0:20 where you said to take out the screw fastening the control rod to the actuating pin only applies if you have the older model like you show in 5:10. But how do you do that part when you have the newer model like in 5:41? I know you just flip the metal piece but when I try to do it the chain is really tight even with the control lever in the down position. When I tried to force it down as well (after I pump up the jack to try to get better clearance of that area), all I ended up doing was making the jack go down.

To add slack to the chain, you may need to turn the brass barrel nut at the top of the rod resting in the handle lever.

You're right. We might re-shoot at some point. Meanwhile, if you have any question about anything that might not be visible enough, please feel free to ask.

While removing the handle of Eoslift M25 handle I didn’t install the clamping shaft to keep the hydraulic piston down. and now I am trying to reinstall the handle but I cannot connect the handle and hydraulic cylinder with connecting shaft because they did not align. Could you advise me on how to lower the hydraulic piston down so I can assemble the handle again?

Use a C-clamp to carefully force the piston and spring down enough to place a rod or screw driver in the hole below. This will free the spring tension and allow the handle to be positioned easily. See video how to install Valu-Jack handle method is similar ua-cam.com/video/8AwzzeGq5s8/v-deo.html

When I adjust the rod it either does nothing at all or it releases when I pump. Any ideas?

Hi Eric! Sorry for the delayed reply - summer :-) - Please check the handle bushings for excess wear causing a loose fit. Also insure the handle axle has been installed with the “U” Notch facing up and back.
You are welcome to call us at 503-646-4575 for assistance. Ask for Chris or Josh.

I know this is an old conversation but does the axle pin have a cutout that the chain passes through? on my pallet jack through pin only has the hole for the roll pin, and I had to route through chain fully behind the pin (not between the axle and the pump pin)@@genericparts

So how do you remove the screw from the control rod that's attached to the actuating shaft? I don't see any screw. There's an adjusting nut on the chain that I was able to remove to disassemble it.

Hi there! Yes, that screw is very hard to locate. You have to look from the front of the HU unit, then reach the screw with an Allen wrench. It is inset. Here is a diagram that might help. The screw is part number 17.genericparts.com/assets/pagepix/CR_PTH50_HU.gif

Thank you for your reply. I discovered that my pallet jack is a Crown PTH, not a PTH 50. There is no allen socket screw anywhere on the actuating shaft. Does the whole chain assembly screw into the shaft on a PTH?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  6 років тому

Yes, you're correct, no socket screw. Here is the diagram for the PTH genericparts.com/assets/pagepix/CR_LATERPTH_HU.gifYou attach the chain with the link #21. Locate part #17, turn that to unscrew the lower part of the chain. That will enable you to threat it through the link.

Prova a pompare l'aria fuori dall'unità. Guarda il video qui
ua-cam.com/video/HYJrq3FA63Y/v-deo.html (How to bleed the air out of the hydraulic unit on a Pallet jack).
Se ciò non aiuta, è probabile che si sia verificato un problema all'interno del gruppo pompa (sorry, I used google translate)
