  • Here it is! This is the only video you will need to learn how to rebuild an S&S Super E carb!!
The parts bought for this rebuild were the S&S Master Rebuild Kit and an S&S jet kit, that is it. The master rebuild kit is a little pricey, but it comes with everything you need to completely refurbish an S&S carb.

Not sure if this is a sarcastic comment or not, but you’re welcome. Only the important stuff here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rebuilt mine and thoroughly cleaned everything; but ejector puts out a weak ass dribble. Probably gonna replace with a modern/current one for better spray.

Did you do the master rebuild? It should have replaced everything that would cause that to happen

Right at 3:07, a little tiny O ring appears under the bowl on the bench. Do you know where that came from?
After ultrasonic cleaning mine, I found that same O ring in my cleaner. But didn’t remove it. Trying to track down where if goes…

Wondering if it’s this O ring on this video at 10:24

I'm running a S&S 96" and Super E. Is It practicable to reroute the crankcase breather hose? Foolish to suck crank farts into the carb. Seen a Doc Harley vid of it being done with Screaming Eagle carbs. Thanks

Yea man, there are a lot of options to vent that crap to atmosphere or into a filter. Check out lowbrow, they sell kits.

@@NattyBumppo Thanks for the reply. I'm confused, talked with Todd at Lowbrow and explained situation. He says that the hoses coming from the heads to the carb aren't crankcase vents, but head vents, and I probley have too much oil in the tank, but I'm sure my level is correct. I re-read the S&S literature and they call it crankcase vents? Just pulled my air cleaner with only 300 mi, it's got alot of oil residue pooled. One of those mysteries like why the Saturday evening post was published on Wednesday. Fact is everything breathes better with clean air, including motorcycles.

@@allanbarlow6599 man, I know my sporty chopper has a breather for the crank separate from the ones that feed into the air cleaner, but I know my dyna and my bagger doesn’t.

Spoke with S&S, my 96" vents out the heads to the carb. He further said that many re-route, and thats no problem, catching it is. He said the venting goes into a "can" but couldn't be more specific. The can would have to be vented, and have some sort of medium. Have any suggestions?

hello. I am from Albania. I have an S & S engine (No. A09872) from 2000. I am looking for a catalog for installation instructions. can you suggest me where to look?

    • @NattyBumppo
      @NattyBumppo  2 роки тому

I would probably call S&S directly. Not sure how that would work from Albania, but they should be able to at least point you in the right direction.

I recently went through my Super G and didn't get that ejector tube o ring back on place, talk about chasing a rich condition.
Triple check that o ring on reassembly.
That's a pretty small main jet, is this carb on a small displacement stock engine?

@@Vl90123 man, I’m not sure what exactly it would cause. It very well may cause it to be rich. I would definitely put that oring back in place though lol
