Thank goodness I've got tailored trousers that didnt need paying to shorten. But having to shorten nearly every pair, until recently when there is more choice, I've learnt from my mum who worked in an old department store in there sewing department to take them up, but Ive found that if you have to lop off 9" to 10" it can really alter the look or even ruin the trousers, the wide leg is much easier & dosnt tend to ruin the line, but try taking that amount off of a boot cut, or a fitted pair & it's a completely different outcome, also if you have paid out alot of money for a pair of trousers, do you really want to have to either pay out again, or spend time to alter them to actually fit you, I really resent it.
Of course the answer is to get more retailers to stock shorter lengths, some very good ones are M&S, Santander, there are another's which I cant think of right now & of course you would know more.

Loved everything you showed. I wear too many jeans and you have encouraged me to go with trousers. I did feel the length was spot on in the black pair but the other two appeared too long. I wish I had your figure. Everything looks good on you.

Well this wonderful video could not have been more perfectly timed, Deirdre. I went out for a pub lunch wearing tailored white trousers with a black and white striped T, black belt and white sneakers.. looked neat, with clean lines but not too dressy. I love everything you do Deirdre. Would you please style complete outfits and accessories without trench coats or other outer wear. I would imagine we all have neutral outerwear for cold weather. Many of us work and outerwear as the third piece is on the coat tree, while we would be left in two pieces looking very unprofessional. Thank you.

Hello. I am new to your channel and I like it. Just one thing. When you give the links to the clothes that you are wearing - like the ecru Amazon sweater - it would help a lot to order a piece if you mentioned the size that you are wearing. Sizes vary so much between the different stores.

Thank you once again. Im now wearing a pair of Per Uno black ones I had in my wardrobe and were in storage for years. Overjoyed that now that I lost weight and they fit perfectly. Thanks to you I bought 2 striped blouses one of which is satin, which look great. As its not warm enough for sandles yet Im now looking for shoes. Help

Can you tell me how to wear slingbacks, which are so beautiful, without having my pants go under my heal? I always wind up standing on my pants. Not under the shoe, but under my foot. Does anyone else have this problem?
The hem might be a tad too long for wearing w/ the slingback.
Why why why are there still front pockets in women's pants and trousers? Do designers think we will bulk up our front with our phone or wallet? I often sew these pockets close for a more sleeker silhouette.
The long coat from mango has een plastic inside.
I just can't wear a white tee shirt. They look terrible on me. Not sure why influencers always think a woman should wear a tee shirt.
They make more refined ones with long sleeves and stretch. Would ecru or cream look better on you? Or perhaps a scooped silk tank could work as a layering piece.
@@americafirst9144 Maybe it's bc I'm a rectangle. They just look like hell on me. I need something that has shoulders and camouflages my stomach.
