😀 Seeing the comments now. So, the video is heavily edited and since we had less time we could not explain the reason of why we decided not to have kids. No, it's not because we want to invest instead :) The reason is because both Shameek and I realise what a big responsibility it is to bring children into this world and raise them to be good citizens. We felt we were not equipped enough to handle that kind of responsibility and we don't want to come under peer pressure and have kids and have them curse us later for being horrible parents 😆We regard people who choose to have kids with great respect and admiration. It is just not for us and we are happy to be able to have parents who understand our choice. Btw all our dogs have been rescues but we feel they've come into our lives and rescued us 🥰 and yes, we have 4(!) children.

Not a viable plan in life. I am not here to be an advisor or advocate for life but a life without a heir is regretful and materialistic. A child does not have to be brought up in the world with heavy costs but when you both grow old, you'd have no one to care for you. Old age homes are not anywhere near the care a parent receives from their own child. I'm saying this because my mom passed away in my hands 5 years ago and I know how much support they need from us as a child. Take care. Hope you have a wonderful life.

Good decision . People say you won't have anyone to take care of you when you grew old. It's like taking care of the children for 20+ year and they take care of you for like 10-15 year .Not the best option. Enjoy while you can .

While everyone is behind judging their family planning decision, I have full appreciation them. For isb degrees it was easy to get a huge salary in an mnc and have kids. Instead they decided to risk with start ups. They are contributors to economy and we need more of them rather then passouts go for mnc jobs and keep themselves high. Shameek said several times that they are not great examples to follow and they did not do all things right. Please appreciate their honesty in sharing so much of personal and financial stuff on social media inviting lot of judgements. They need to be appreciated for every word they shared here. My full appreciation and best wishes....

    Shameek & Gitanjali,
I wish you guys all the best. May you soon reach that point in your venture where everything starts working like a clockwork.
Never doubt your decision of not jumping into parenthood early, no matter what people say. Being a product of parents who decided to have kids in their late 30s, I can vouch that my childhood was as perfect as anyone's can be. I got to enjoy the company of both of my parents, much more than any of my friends did with their's. I remember clear as day, the issue of one of my close friend, whose parents worked so much, that they couldn't spare any time for him. Poor guy fled his house out of depression and was never found again. With the schedule that people have nowadays, most can't even spend quality time with their spouse, let alone attend to their kids.
And that master move on buying the land with multiple investors, that was a great move.
So happy that you guys could escape the rat-race of 9-to-5s.

This stupid experiment to equate life with capital is a sad outcome. Some folks had kids when young without any long term goals. Their wealth will vanish by the second generation. Another misguided rich.
In this case their wealth will vanish but at least they made an impact on the local community. They are not avg run of the mill people. They are part of the 0.1%. Do not emulate them.

not having kids for taking more risks for the thrill of it and being unconventional, will only lead to a lonely and meaningless later phase of life....
This obsession with definig our identigy with the outter world(driven by ISB, IIM, and corporates, and western world) , without balancing the inner and psycho-social needs of ourselves will only lead to unhappiness.
the psychological theory of 'developmental tasks' apply well into early and middle adulthood as well, without cross each stage we are setting our selves up for unhappiness.
Money beyond a point doesnt improve life satisfaction as you age, isn't it better to follow a balanced approach
