I don’t normally think about color theory, but yesterday I applied a fairly pink, raspberry toned blush, looked really good. Then I decided to try out a new green tones eyeshadow palette. Made my face look absolutely terrible. My eyes looked sickly, and my cheeks looked like clown cheeks. When I put my hand in front of my cheeks or my eyes, the other aspect looked great. It finally clicked what you’ve been talking about all this time, as I normally go pretty neutral with my eyes and cheeks. It allllll makes sense 😅
One thing I love about Florasis that I have never seen anyone mention is that ALL of their eyeshadows work wet, and they look so good and don’t budge when laid down that way.
I've wondered about this brand for awhile because there are a few beauty reviewers who flat out refuse to review them based on how they were approached by Florasis. Supposedly they were asked to only discuss positives about the products.

Kackie if you’re up for exploring new brands I would LOVE your review on Sydney Grace eye shadows, aside from the amazing shimmers they do light, medium, dark saturations on their colors. I feel like you could teach some major art math with them! Plus you can create your own pallet. ❤Just wanted to throw that request out there because I know they get rave reviews, but I would REALLY love your opinion on them.
We have very different approches to makeup, but I always appreciate the detailed explanations of the steps you take in order to achieve the effect you're going for.
I think you’re totally right about the staple lip of Asian beauty being a high saturation tint, but I have noticed recently in K-beauty that there seems to be a growing trend for more desaturated lip and cheek colors. I recently bought some stuff from Rom&nd that they’re calling (had to go and check the spelling) “muteral nude” which seems to have warm and cool shades that lean more grey.
I agree, I see a lot of muted blushes and lip colors, I believe rom&nd has a line of the melting balms called "dusty on the nude" where dusty = muted.
The way that fiery eye shade makes your jewelry and the gold in your painting behind you POP! Obsessed! So fun!
I enjoy watching videos where people use this type of baroquely embossed makeup knowing that I would be too afraid to mess it up myself.
I’ve always assumed from the embossing that the florasis products are some kind of baked gelée formula which tends to be notably better on natural hair bristles so your instinct is correct, I’ve seen great products get bad reviews because the reviewer only has synthetic brushes (annoying that the product is then prohibitive but the formulas are also some of my favorites so 🤷♀️). The ‘lightness’ of this would also track with that too. Excited to see you finally dip your toe into natural hair, sounds like it might have come along at the right time to test these with them!
Hey Kackie :) I got my first Natasha Denona palette last week, and GURL I don't know what you're talking about, they're the easiest mattes I've ever used 😭😂 They blend themselves! I got I Need A Nude, which btw, you would LOVE the color story, it's perfect (and has two glittery bedroom eyes browns!)
When she was trying the rephr brushes I was thinking, hmm, might this give her a new perspective on Natasha Denona? Because my experience is the same as yours, not challenging at all! Enjoy your palette! ❤

By the end of this video that firey orange was GONE! Those shadows really died down quickly. I think Florasis is kind of testing Amazon allowing them to store and ship some of their products, hopefully Amazon will eventually ship them all, but when you view one of their products on Amazon, make sure it says "shipped from Amazon" because most of them say "shipped from Florasis" and in that case, it will take up to 15 days of more to receive it, if Amazon ships it, you will get it in 2 days. I ordered about 300.00 worth of makeup from the Florasis website during a sale, today is day 19 and it is finally arriving today. I ordered a lipstick, loose powder and foundation from their Amazon store (shipped by Amazon) and have been using them for days! Their foundation is awesome.

I think their face powders and eye brow pencils are honestly THE BEST! ❤ but interestingly they don’t get much attention at all in the west.
Maybe this is just me but the reason I wish you would play with colors more often is because you know so much about color and probably know how to wear for example blue (just an example because it is kind of an earth tone ) as a neutral because there’s a way to wear everything and counter balance and make a lot of things work and I personally do that often with my style (I did art when I was younger I’m 16 now but still lol) and maybe only for get ready with mes or something idk if this makes any since I’m sick and currently DayQuil me lol bye 👋🏻

I feel like… if you are precious about the embossing - remind yourself that there are product pictures that showcase it. Like, if you aren’t someone who collects or archives makeup then don’t worry about it.
The Chanel fall collection might still be available, scattered around in different stores. There's a weird thing with Chanel, they don't allow their re sellers to feature them online, you can only see the makeup in stores. So, in Romania, that means Sephora, Douglas and Marionnaud all have Chanel makeup and perfumes exclusively in physical stores. That's kind of a good thing, though, because limited edition things don't sell out as quickly. And, last I went, Marionnaud still had those blushes in stock. Depending on where in the world you live, you might have an equivalent store where you can find them

Have you done a video on complexion contrast because I don't know what that means. You know a lot about things like undertones and contrast but I can't find a good video covering these topics so I can figure these things out for my own complexion. You mentioned that certain colors make your lips look like the biggest thing on your face. I have small lips but if I wear a bold color, I don't want it to scream that my lips are small. So I'm always confused about what lip color to wear.

Cleansing oil is coming in a bottle too. I saw other reviews and that’s why I know. I don’t like the brand. Everything is too busy, too overwhelming, too much and old fashioned for my taste. I have a totally different aesthetic but I can appreciate all the effort they put in to create such an elaborate packaging and embossing.

It really looks like you did NOT apply the beige lip that turned your lips rosy. The applicator was pink! Are you sure you applied that beige shade and not the other fuscia one by accident?

There are two different wipes: a pink wipe for the face containing cleansing water that is adequate for your entire face. And a dark cyan wipe for the eyes and lips wwith optimal water-oil ratio that easily removes the makeup on these areas. Seems like travelstuff to me?
I like to use a stain in the center of my lips and my normal nude lip over it. It looks flushed and healthy. It’s an easier way of wearing the brighter stain.

One day on your face:
1. A tiny bit of Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturizing Skin Tint in vanilla mixed with your own moisturizer as foundation. “Vanilla” would be just a bit dark for you, but it has the right undertone.
2. As blush/bronzer: a very light hand of Nars Sauvage.
3. As secret weapon on top of whatever: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette - the original, volume I.
4. On the eye: Mac Woodwinked and Hourglass 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eyeliner in “Bronze”.
Lips and mascara: surprise me!
What is your undertone? The grey makes it more appealing to me 😂
Mostly yellow with a slight hint of peach. Light to medium eyelids. I suspect the eye color may play a role as well (vey warm brown eyes could make other browns appear cool) but I could as well be wrong about it.@@beatdizzy

I pretty much never see kbeauty youtubers wearing super bright, saturated colors these days. From my understanding that is seen as out of style. Most of them seem to be gravitating towards muted colors, and a lot of brands have been releasing super gray/muted toned makeup

I’m confused-you mentioned at 19:10 that you were applying powder like you would cream which is why it stamped more. what’s the difference in how you apply creams vs powders? the difference looks subtle but I can’t put my finger on it.

I think it is just how she initially laid down the product? Like she would stamp the cream product and then spread it out vs sweeping the powder across initially? That's my guess 😁💕
