Ooooh; that sounds BRILLIANT! My only holy grail makeup item (given that I hardly ever wear or use makeup) is my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Foundation in the shade "Medium 2". It really blots out my pores and makes my face look and feel amazing. I'm going to be a hot mess when I run out.

Hey Tati, I’ve been watching for the past 5 years. How is it possible to become even more angelic, beautiful and graceful? You are a bright light. Thank you for making these videos for us. I had a high risk pregnancy last year, and was on bedrest for months. I’m so glad I had your videos to help pass the time. My baby made it, born 31 weeks. She’s now a thriving 7 month old and doesn’t have any complications. God was so kind. The doctors said there was a risk we both wouldn’t make it. He’s a God of miracles! Anyway, just wanted to share. ❤️

For the longest time I felt awful about being a night owl. I felt like an unproductive misfit of society. But the more I researched it, I started to understand that that's just how I am and my body/mind functions better during certain hours. I stopped trying to operate like everyone else and realized that this is just what works for me, it doesn't matter what "normal" looks like. You should know that it's okay to be different.
I completely agree. I’m the same. I’ve been crazy hard on myself for my schedule being so opposite to everyone else.
Thank you! The world's obsession with rising early, productive mornings etc is sooooo toxic, and totally ignores the differences in the biological/cognitive makeup of a substantial part of the population. Research has increasingly demonstrated that actually, some of us do in fact function better later in the day/night and that's a-ok. Sheesh.
My wife had real trouble writing her PhD thesis until she realised she worked better at night. And then she only took 3 months to finish it.

I've never felt pressured to do anything negative by you or your channel. I think the only impact you've had in my life has been positive. I really appreciate how you review multiple levels of $$ and how brutal your reviews are because it saves me time and money.

Tati, putting on makeup is like therapy to me. I’ll put on a full face of glam just to go to the grocery store. Then there are other times I’m happy I’m all glam because if last minute plans pop up, I’m ready to go!
I put on full glam just because I get to work from home!! 😂 No meetings.
Same girl lol I literally just posted a video of my makeup look on my makeup group on FB and it was all out and I even said "I'm going to the grocery store so that'll show you how extra I am" lol One of the people who commented on my video said more people should go glam with glitter to the grocery store lol

Same. Even during the height of the Panini, I was doing my makeup to pick up carry out orders because 1. It is art therapy to me & 2. It’s when I would try new products or colors out basically no different than what I would do randomly at night before my night time routine 🖤

Tati, can you do a video with tips about what to do/avoid with makeup for "more mature" skin, please? That tip about avoiding putting the blush too high by the hollows of your eyes is a gamechanger!

I am so glad you mentioned this about the blush and watching other people apply it. Thank you for talking about the fact that everyone's face shape is not the same and we are not all the same age. I love all of your videos. I do feel this way too when watching these videos of everyone getting ready to do these exciting things it makes me feel so basic so when I feel that way I start writing my journal and it has helped. I find myself realizing that I, as a 38 year old woman, have started to crave similar aged beauty gurus because it's so much more beneficial to learn how to make those tweaks so I can grow my skills with my face as it ages.

I’m 937 days sober. A big part of what helps keep me sober has been falling in love with makeup again. I take the entire hour I set aside every day for it, to set my mind, mood and to remember the why, for rest of the day. To take a little bit of the life I seemingly live for others, just to play, have fun and make myself feel better each day is one of the best recovery tools i’ve found. Never underestimate manifesting your day at the beginning of it.

I totally agree with you about getting up at a set time with a morning routing and using beauty rituals and fashion as self care. I have had a rather difficult 12 months that has thrown my world into chaos. Setting small routines and rituals have really helped me find calm in the chaos. Who cares if I don't go anywhere a full updo, makeup, and a cute outfit , and my day is off to a great start! My therapist thinks it's great too. Thank you for being kind, honest, and fun. Love you!

Tati Ive been trying to do “clean girl” too but I’ve come to realize I love having those pop of colors and liners to enhance my eyes. I went “clean girl” but using tinted moisturizer instead of actually foundation and it makes my face feel so so good

The pink lip is beautiful Tati! It really compliments your jewelry! It made the whole look very high end looking in my opinion. I finally tried the tarte primer and I am very impressed. I wear glossier foundation and it even works well with that formula. Have a great day!

I feel like it’s such an expression of art, and for me a form of meditation. I am 46, Mom of 2 boys(13&18) and they are still trying to figure out why girls wear make up✨🤣

Hey there, I'm 38 so we're 'roughly the same age'?! I really hope you don't mind me asking but can you recommend any good skin care products - I've bought highend and lower end and have a few staple favourites but for the others I'm just a bit like 'bruhhhh'. Love from the UK 😊
That dior brow pencil is SO GOOD. I received one in gratis when I worked at Sephora and it’s been my favorite since. So natural and easy. Love love love
I wake up at 4am every morning because I have to feed my animals. I get my coffee started while I feed the animals and then after I feed my animals I have my coffee and have some time to myself. Then I get my exercise in and make my sons lunch. I have never been an early riser but animals are a great motivator. They depend on me and I love them. It’s a joy to get up early now and see their little excited faces. They are always so happy to see me. It’s infectious!!

When you look good, you feel good! Doing your makeup everyday is so relatable! I try to do my makeup everyday as part of my self care (currently on maternity leave watching while my 6 month old is napping in my arms 💕) Doing my makeup keeps me feeling like me 😀

Oh Tati, because of you, i was encouraged to put on make up once again. Thank you 🥰 Because of the pandemic these past couple of years, i wasn't able to used my lipsticks, liners, etc... I had to throw aways plenty of my make-up products. And now I'm back too hahahaha. Keep up the beautiful and informative videos.
Its not about putting makeup on. Its the emotions it provokes, and why were doing it. The extreme Vanity, the heightened sense of self, and inflated Ego is the issue. I too had the same struggle a few years back, while on my spiritual journey. So I make sure to check my ego, and my motives. That's where I found a peace about wearing makeup again. I work in the Beauty industry as well, and even took.a break from that, but its up to each of us individually to discover these things for ourselves! And Tati your in such a privelaged position to use your platform for great things! Keep up the amazing work. Prayers Love! ❤️

Everything you said about makeup is true for me too. Even throughout the pandemic and maternity leaves and general days at home I almost never go without “getting ready” with a full face. I do it purely for myself because it has a positive effect on my mood. It has little to do with vanity and everything to do with self care and mental health. I’m so glad you’ve found enjoyment and value in doing your makeup again ❤. This look is super pretty btw!

This was very interesting, I’m going to try that technique with the contouring. My skin is pale and greenish/yellow so most contour (and bronzers) look to orange but I mixed up something yesterday with concealers, correctors and creamy facepaints and I think I can use it for this. Thank you!

It helps me so much to hear all these things from "someone like you". Not that I ever thought that public people are any different but I struggled a lot with self love since I started working from home. I didnt do my Make Up, I stayed in my pajamas and I knew that it didnt do me good. I kept watching your and all these Make Up videos and they got me so excited on playing with it but I only took that one time a week chance to actually do it. Now I just do it for myself. I get up, I get dressed, I do my hair, do my skincare and quite often do my Make Up even if I dont have to leave the house. It makes me feel so much better about myself. And I get to learn on what works for me and what doesnt (or not anymore).
You are still my favorite person to watch and I couldnt thank you enough for being real and humble and make us feel like were all in the same boat.

I really enjoy motivational podcasts, too! In lieu of music, I have been listening to them when I'm at the gym or working out and it's been a game changer for me. It lights a fire in my belly and that's exactly what I need to push me. I don't always leave comments om your videos but I do watch every single one! I love seeing you put your concealer on first, before foundation because that's what I do and I see so many UA-camrs putting it on after foundation and I thought I'm doing it wrong so I switched but I switched back because I personally have better results doing concealer before foundation. So love seeing my makeup idol doing that too. ❤ u Tati
Concealer before foundation is where it's at.
I'm gonna try this now. Out of curiosity why do you think there's a difference? I'm wandering if there's a tendency to overdo the foundation if you haven't put concealer on first? I used to overdo it then realised it was making me look cakey and older. I've also tried to invest more in my skin care routine so I'm not reaching for full coverage all the time. I still love Marc Jacobs Remarcable foundation but it's been discontinued - booo!
