    Just changed mine. Bought the part from a guy breaking his car! Was reassured by the fact that your girlfriend could do it…so why not me?!!
    She’s a gem. Gotta say you guys are a lovely couple.
    Have yourselves a great life together!! ❤
    Thanks again

    Hi. Do you have the link for the fuel pump you bought for an e46 M3 please?

    Great video, but can you post a link to the fuel pump you got, and has it been fine since?

    What does it mean if I see 4v at the pump before even putting the key into the ignition. Then 12v when turning it on for a couple seconds?

    i bet the code was for "fuel pump left the house"... when he tested the wiring unpluged and turned on acc (key on first position) looking for the 12v on the plug.. the ecu probably notice there was no pump.

    Man I can’t get the dam pump to come out. Like every video I watch as soon as they have that collar off and the hose disconnected it just lifts right out. But I’m over here yanking in the thing watching the whole area around it lift up and the thing just will not come out

    • @slightlymodified501
      @slightlymodified501  Рік тому

      Clean off the area and try the use a flat head or a trim tool to break the seal. Its a tight fit it will come out

      @@slightlymodified501 I actually just got it off, which is great but now my concern is that I saw a good amount of little dirt and whatnot had fallen down into the tank. I’m a little concerned about starting the car without trying to get that dirt/debris out of there

    It’s that simple huh? My shop was trying to charge me something like $2,000 for the fuel pump and labor 🤦🏾‍♂️

    don't ever do what this guy does "rub fuel on the rubber gasket" its stupid! you need to use grease. fuel will dry out the rubber and crack the seal.

    • @slightlymodified501
      @slightlymodified501  4 місяці тому

      I get what you are saying. But in this case the rubber is fuel resistant. Same with injector O-rings. Any o-ring that touches fuel needs to be Viton or Nitrile.
