I could watch this guy fit joint tape all day..... so soothing :) :) I used this tape today (having never joint taped before) and found it really easy to use. I've seen some terrible paper joints before (done by professionals) so was happy to use this in our new bathroom. Will probably wear thin gloves (and a mask) next time - the fibreglass affected my fingers a little. I almost couldn't watch him slide his fingers down that internal corner - made my eyes water and my fingers itch! :)
Thanks PT! We agree re: the mud - but Bill is a bit "old school" he likes it a bit thicker. ... and yes - we thought adding music was a nice touch - plus Bill's a pretty groovy guy!
Wanted to say thanks, watched this video several times. Trying to get your technique down, you make it look so easy. Well I'm not good like you are but, I'm better than I was. Found I'm wearing less compound and getting less on the ground. I'm using FibaFuse and I like it so far. Once again thanks and keep the videos coming.
Great video boys! I live by FibaFuse! I wouldn't be without it! Mix your mud a littile thinner though guys, you'll find it way easier when using a banjo or any roller/flusher combo. It looked a little thick. Oh! Also, great music!! Somebody's been watching my videos! ;)
Absolutely. After your first coat it lays so smooth it looks terrific especially, for patches and repairs. So easy to work with just requires a thinner mud and lighter touch. Bonds like crazy, can't beat the strength.
With this stuff if you miss the joint a little bit you can't move it ,it will tear so you have to dead on with this but it is good and light easy to work with
Darn old school guys! When will they learn! lol. It's hard to operate taping tools with thicker mud, they definitely won't run as smoothly. But ya, great video! Enjoyed it. Great shots and angles. Looks like there was some pretty good depth of field as well, was this filmed on a DSLR or a regular video camera?
U must be nuts.. takes so long for you to tape 2 flat joins for you... i tape/finish 19,000-22,000 sq ft of drywall houses with basements. I don't see any point in fibertape
To damn slow to make a living at it. You should be using a hawk. I don’t understand the guys that don’t use a hawk. Broad knives and a pan work very good. I would rather use knives and a pan myself. A lot straighter lines and cleaner work and faster to.
do you guys even realize its a tape product demo?-this guy has done his time on the tools and is doing this for sales and review purpose-also aussies don't use pans-that is for cooks

Great to see a true tradie doing your vids-great tools-just bought your 600mm skim blade
Thanks PT!

Fantastic instruction!
Thank you so much :)

That's awesome I'm glad I found this video I bought some of this yesterday and thought I got the wrong product
👍👍
Should wear a mask when using fibafuse.
This tape is awesome if you know what your doing makes the first coat look great

I think it looks great. I can't wait to use it.
How long would you wait before you double it?

You should be wairing safty glasses and " good thin " rubber finger gloves and always use Proform all purpose mud and yes it's more expensive
It's definitely not the first time that you do that. :D
Maybe you're just really good but your mud looked 4" wide and you couldnt see the tape at all. Most have 8" mud lines.
I think he’s using a curved trowel
Once you apply this on the mud you cant move it it will tear
your mud gets filled with this stuff in it and it tears easy that's what I don't like about it
Fiberglass particles all over when using, I would suggest a mask, I have used on repairs, seems to be ok for now.

Its a demonstration not a contract job-and it is great stuff-very flat for butt joints and repairs
CANT BEAT PAPER TAPE AND IS CHEAPER.
Del tweedie ok it costs about a dollar more so for a entire house bring your own coffee instead of Starbucks for one day
ONE DOLLAR AND EIGHT HRS MORE PUT IN ON .
You can come fix all the paper tape thats failing in my house and the FibaFuse is still doing fine.

Thanks for your feedback, this is just for the demonstration of installation purposes. A hawk or pan is definitely better on site.

Its a demonstration you moron.
