My old cockatiel is 32 years old he lost his mate 3 years ago he was 29 years old,my bird sleeps a lot now,but eats lots he cannot peel sunflower seeds anymore,I have to buy them shelled he loves seeds from the garden too.his flying isn’t as strong as it was but he still flys about his aviary he doesn’t seem to fly down down to the bottom of the aviary anymore where it is all grassed.and he sleeps in a cosy wooden box full of straw and soft tissue he really loves that bed.He likes watching my phone every day with videos of cockatiels In aviary’s he’s a great bird and 32 years is a long time that I have had him, wish my dogs, and cats could live as long.
Exactly like in hen egg laying is a natural, seasonal process. Female pet birds can also lay eggs, even without the presence of a male. Such eggs are infertile and will not hatch, even if incubated.. natural process 😊👍
When the bird is hormonal regurgitation is a way they express there interest and affection. They shares the food using the beak.. Almost like vomiting only 🤣 Simetimes they do it with their favourite person or toys.. Eye pinning is the way they shrink the eyes when they are grumpy and angry
I have two male whiteface cockatiel. I've had one of them since he was 2 to 3 weeks old. I got my second one and was told that he was no longer been handfed because he learned to eat but I cannot tell his age. He's a bit smaller in size than my other one though.
Thank you so much, u literally expained every single part, this will help me getting a cockatiel.
