I recently adopted a young cockatiel. They appear to be a female. They have pastel yellow face and tail feathers. Their orange cheeks are not as vivid. And have the striped tail feathers. But I hear their features may change after their molt.

yes, gray males can have dots under the wings, on first couple of feathers, female goes almost all the way to the back of the wings...see 01:49

Hi. Thanks for the video. However, I am still struggling to find. I have two adult yellow lutino cockatiels (around 3 years old) namely Eva and Rio. One of them, Rio, is definitely female as it had laid infertile eggs. Eva has never laid eggs but the cheek's colour, tail feathers are similar to Rio. The voice of the Eva is also twice as loud as Rio and Eva has shown greater aggression. Eva also exhibits beak banging, territorial behaviours but never whistles or sings. Eva is now constantly getting on top of Rio in a mating position and give out sounds as well. But I have not provided them with any nesting box as previously Rio laid infertile eggs and became very weak and unhealthy. I am planning to take them for a DNA test but since I live in countryside, finding proper centre is really difficult. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
