Usually when people hear "India is for Indians" they assume you mean is "India is for Indians and not for foreign colonisers". There is a difference between foreign violent colonisers snd people legally moving to your country because you need the labour force due to your aging population. If they didn't come, Britain would be dead in a few decades anyway because yoh're not having kids. Japan and Korea have decided to not go down the migration route but as a consequence they will be lucky if they still exist by the endbof the century. England for the English - yeah that world doesn’t exist anymore. Some immigrants yes - the ones that work and contribute though our government have ruined our country with huge numbers of immigrants - sad
It's because they want the kids of immigrants to feel like they're at home/included in the UK. It's a noble intention, yes, but it's just plain wrong to lie like that.
Capitalism is importing an over supply of labour in, which is a race to the bottom particularly for the working class. Oligarchs love immigration. Capitalism will never invest in training or increase pay and conditions if it can just fly in labour.
Yes capitalism is a trash system we should go with national syndicalism or labour nationalism ( labour as any the working class, it has nothing to do with the antiwhite party called labour in the UK)
Yep. It's a core feature of neoliberalism. Not only corporations but governments love it too. It provides easy economic growth. Someone born in the country the government has to support for 18 years before they start paying taxes. Most immigrants arrive as adults and ready made tax slaves (and many leave when they retire, meaning the government doesn't have to pay for their pension/healthcare in old age).
The problem is there is no melting pot in Europe unlike Migration Countries like USA, Canada, Brazil, ... etc. People tend to stick with their own religious or ethnic group and this leads to ghettofication. Also some cultures cannot peacefully function with other cultures. For example you cannot expect a Religious South Asian Hindu and a Religious South Asian Muslim to live together without problems just look at Leicester. Some people groups have animosity for one another. To stop this animosity either you have to force everyone to become British culturally or kick them out which democratic countries cannot do both. Also multiethnicism is not a problem as long as people share the same/similar culture just look at native Brits who are made up of Germanic and Celtic people but have lived in harmony since the 1700's if you don't include the Ireland situations which is another topic but was mostly a religious conflict in my opinion. Also these are just my views and I could be wrong because I'm not British but from mainland Europe.
I find this deeply concerning, as it implies that society is willing to take away a group of people's right to define and exist as a distinct group, isn't this antithetical to why we view colonialism bad, aka destruction of culture and the removal of the native ethnic group. Also describing white and black as ethnic groups ties into the destruction of distinct ethic groups such as the Anglo-Saxons, Gaelic Scotts and others.
There are 0 issues when it comes to immigration. Want to integrate them? Rich people have a shit ton of money. Get them to fund some housing for them and maybe some native citizens while we’re at it. Don’t want to integrate them? Well then maybe we shouldnt have colonized the fuck out of countries for the last 309 years
I just wanted to point out that at 6:54 there seem to be so little black British people because you actually selected "other blacks" so basically black people that are not from Africa or the Caribbean. Which yeah of course that's almost no one
The UK has been very immigrant heavy for a long time. Except for Canada and the US, the UK and many parts of Europe have been receiving higher levels of immigration than pretty much all of the western hemisphere for more than half a century now. Most people alive now haven't lived in a time when Argentina or Uruguay are high migration countries
That's misleading. From 1:06 ; the migrant population has almost doubled in 20 years. That's within almost everyone's lifetimes. If Britain in 2001 was 'migrant heavy' then we are something else now.

@@greywolf7422 "A group or people" is basically the definition of "society". Society is a group of people. Anyway, colonialism is when an outside power comes in and conquers a country and then forces them into an unequal relation, oftentimes granting locals an unequal status, and rule that territory and people for the benefit of the conquering territory. That and whatever is happening in the UK are completely different situations, unless you think the English have colonized Wales and Scotland (and or possibly southern England colonized the north) or something, which would be quite ahistorical. That said you can complain about your lifestyle changing all you want and say you don't want it to change, just know it is other of your own people who decided to change it, and they have every right to do it if they want. People don't like to admit that ALL groups will stick to their own if given the choice. People are not forced to live in certain places, they will always naturally segregate if there is a large enough number. Just look at the ethnic enclaves of London, Chicago, Los Angeles etc.
That doesn't have to be true. People do self-segregate to some degree, but it definitely isn't natural or good in all cases. I would argue that certain ethnic groups segregate because they can't afford but to live in a certain area. That's usually why you see a lot of immigrants in cheap areas, and a bit more diverse in middle class areas. My point isn’t that I hate other races or cultures, many immigrants do contribute greatly to society and deserve to be here and I don’t advocate for the harming of any of them, but it’s frankly getting ridiculous. Imagine going to visit Japan in hopes to see Japan for the country it is and see their culture or their people but when you arrive Tokyo and other major cities are just full of Polish, Italian and Russian people. (I’m picking these at random) Or going to Egypt and it’s full of Chinese and Indian people and the Egyptian culture has become mired and muddied in a melting pot. I don’t see anyone saying that a white Christian Englishman person can no longer be a white Christian Englishman. Also with regards to culture immigrants tend to largely assimilate. In addition to that I don’t see how English culture is being destroyed in any real way or how white Englishmen are removed since by number there are more now than at any point in history.
@@greywolf7422 This implies that we need to "preserve" our nations (nation being a region with a defined ethno-cultural group) to have a good standard of living, which makes no sense whatsoever when you look at it from a purely analytical standpoint. For starters, birth rates in the west are rapidly declining, leading to economic downturn; if we ban immigration, we accelerate this process even more. Many of the countries these immigrants (at least for the UK) are relatively well educated, but aren't paid well enough in their home country, meaning that they can give themselves a better standard of living while also generating more wealth within the economy. Secondly, we have the greatest amount of information recorded about ourselves than any other point of time in history; our cultures are much more well preserved than even those which promoted strong traditionalism and made vast records of themselves. To think that any nation will disappear from immigration alone in the modern era is an easy assumption, yet a heavily underdeveloped one. That being said, over the centuries, different cultural groups came and went, but as they did, the standard of living always, however gradually it may've been, increased. One example of this would be England itself; the early Celts lived in a relatively primitive society, then the Romans came and established great cities and public works for them. Afterwards the Anglo-Saxons came, and after a millennia, created a state which rivaled Rome itself in terms of living. Of course, these came with violent conquest of England, but this is what sets modern immigration apart, as the process is done in a peaceful and civilized manner without meaning harm to the native population. TL;DR: Immigration helps to promote the economy and standard o living of the country, while not directly clashing with the culture.

There’s nothing wrong with immigration, humans have always moved around. The problem with modern day mass migration is that it is so large in numbers that it totally changes the cultural and societal make up of entire cities/countries. It creates segregations even if it is not intentional, people just tend to like to live and be around others like them. There are entire pockets of London where it feels like Pakistan or Nigeria which would be great if we were actually in Pakistan or Nigeria but we are not. The politicians and the rich who advocate for mass migration and diversity all live in their rich safe upscale neighborhoods where it is majority white. It is the same case in the UK, in the US, and in Australia. Something is seriously wrong when you go to Sydney, New York, London or Toronto and all you see are Chinese and Indian people. Millions of Indians and Chinese are moving to places like the UK, the US and Australia EVERY YEAR. Imagine if this was reverse and millions of Westerners are going to third world countries and taking their jobs, living spaces, and medical care. Fight me in the comments I don’t care.
If Indians and Chinese were low on a domestic working population and had low birth rates, and was generally fine with western culture coexisting amonst them, I really doubt they would be that upset if white people made up a minority of their population but coexisted peacefully in some majority-pockets. When it comes to unintentional self-segregation I honestly understand your point. Where it can feel like pockets of south-asians or africans arent neccisarrly coexisting as much as they are existing separately away from the majority population. However, Id argue that the majority population could be at fault for this too. For every distinct neighborhood with a minority white population there are probably at least 5 that have at least a 90% majority population. People are allowed to be around people who speak their native language and understand their culture, and its perfectly normal to want this. Furthermore, a large reason why these neighbourhoods can be minority white is the fact that white people do not want to move their! This could be for many reasons, such as the neighborhood having lower socio-economic standing than other neighbourhoods (which is often the case with distinct pockets where white people are the minority) or for the fact that they don't want to live in a minority white neighbourhood (Just as an immigrant might rather live in a neighbourhood where their ethnicity is a higher % of the population). So basically Immagrants can not be blamed for living in their own neighbourhoods if white people choose not to live there. And if you think seeing a ton of english speaking people of Chinese or Indian decent is a problem, you may be a part of the actual problem.

The European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 retains relevant EU law as domestic law, which the UK can now amend or repeal. Under the terms of the Brexit withdrawal agreement, Northern Ireland continues to participate in the European Single Market in relation to goods, and to be a de facto member of the EU Customs Union. The EU and its institutions have developed gradually since their establishment and during the 47 years of British membership, and grew to be of significant economic and political importance to the United Kingdom. Throughout the period of British membership, Eurosceptic groups had existed, opposing aspects of the EU and its predecessors. Labour prime minister Harold Wilson's pro-EC government held a referendum on continued EC membership in 1975, in which 67.2 per cent of those voting chose to stay within the bloc, but no further referendums were held during the subsequent process of European integration, aimed at "ever closer union", embodied in the Treaties of Maastricht, Amsterdam, Nice and Lisbon. As part of a campaign pledge to win votes from Eurosceptics, Conservative prime minister David Cameron promised to hold a referendum if his government was re-elected. His government subsequently held a referendum on continued EU membership in 2016, in which voters chose to leave the EU with 51.9 per cent of the vote share. This led to his resignation, his replacement by Theresa May, and four years of negotiations with the EU on the terms of departure and on future relations, completed under a Boris Johnson government, with government control remaining with the Conservative Party in this period. The negotiation process was both politically challenging and deeply divisive within the UK, leading to two snap elections. One deal was rejected by the British parliament, causing great uncertainty and leading to postponement of the withdrawal date to avoid a no-deal Brexit. The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020 after a withdrawal deal was passed by Parliament but continued to participate in many EU institutions (including the single market and customs union) during an eleven month transition period in order to ensure frictionless trade until all details of the post-Brexit relationship were agreed and implemented. Trade deal negotiations continued within days of the scheduled end of the transition period and the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement was signed on 30 December 2020. The effects of Brexit will in part be determined by the cooperation agreement, which provisionally applied from 1 January 2021, and formally came into force on 1 May 2021. The broad consensus among economists is that it is likely to harm the UK's economy and reduce its real per capita income in the long term, and that the referendum itself damaged the economy. It is likely to produce a large decline in immigration from countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) to the UK, and poses challenges for British higher education and academic research.

A big flaw in looking purely at ethnic and racial stats is that especially for the latter they don't actually tell you that much about who people are. For example, I'm technically Eastern European + Asian, and I'd put that on the census, but I identify much more closely with the UK and the English language than any other country or language. I find it ridiculous to suggest I've somehow come here and replaced a white British guy when I am in all ways that matter (so not skin colour or genetics) British.
Yeah the much more important factor to me is that, some people are ethnically British with hundreds of years of lineage but hate the country and are maybe best not counted.
@@OscarDirlwood I never claimed it to be a feeling. Ethnicity to me is a shared cultural and linguistical background, and I most definitely am British based off of those factors. @Victoria Haque again, ethnicity isnt a feeling, which is essentially what you suggest. I could have been born in china, with the makeup i have now. It wouldn't make me Han or whatever. I'm still a foreigner. Lineage is arguably the most important part of the ethnicity. The reason being, your ancestors created your language and culture. You personally have just adopted it, as opposed to inheriting it.

@@ab-oj9wv Then it would be bad, and people shouldn’t immigrate there. But if you think that's the case in countries like America, Canada, or the UK you are dreaming.
South Africa is Africa's richest country, we recieve immigration from the rest of the African continent primarily with a sizable amount coming in from Asia and Europe as well. Recently, there has been an uproar surrounding this situation from some sectors of society
With census data like this one, it is also a question about who counts as white. Some immigrants that are white don't identify as white because it is a cultural marker. You also misrepresent the data, the map you show is native born. You can still be white (and stereotypical British white) while being born in another country.
@@greywolf7422 I dont know how you could interpret this data as society taking away the ethnic British's right to define and exist as a distinct group? Just because they are not as large of a majority, or even become a minority in the future, They still have the right to claim British heritage, British culture, and continue practicing their distinct culture and language as defined by themselves. The British culture will never be destroyed or removed even if they become a minority because nobody is trying to destroy or remove them. Immagrints move to the UK with the intent of coexisting for mutual benefit, rather than the colonial mindset of intentionally moving somewhere for opportunity to spread your culture and ideas at the expense of the native population. Also, the census never described white and black skinned people as specific ethnic groups. Census data usually looks skin colour because of the distinct experiences people have when they can blend in with the majority culture vs if they physically cant.
@@whatacruelchoice what data is being changed? They still say English exists, it even clarified that English is considered white. Again, white does not refer to culture but instead just the colour of your skin. Because people who can blend into the majority culture even if it’s not their native one (for example, polish immigrants) can have drastically different experiences than someone who physically can’t.
I think people should be united in a country by a shared culture and a similar land. So while there may be more people with darker skin in Scotland, I don't mind as long as the Scottish culture persists, expands and adapts to the modern world. It does mean we may have to start vitamin D bulking our food but I doubt that will be a problem anytime soon. The Scottish culture was strong enough to survive in spite of hundreds of years of trying to wipe it from existence by the English and as a result I am not concerned when various people from outside Scotland arrive into this land. Their kids are honestly more likely to have a Scottish accent than the accent of their parents, and will likely identify as Scottish. As far as I'm concerned you've just created more Scottish people. Cultural enclaves can halt this effect but again Scottish culture is just one of those cultures a lot of people want to take part in and we have people who are usually willing to allow them to partake.
If you are of Somali ancestry in Scotland, no matter how Scottish you feel, you will always know Scotland is not *your* country. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, this is a problem. As much as I hate the United Kingdom as a political entity, I do think their people are generally quite nice, and I can imagine how weird it must feel to see your own ethnic group get replaced without any say in the matter. Now, of course, there is no 'great replacement' or any stuff like that, but it is very unbalancing to bring in so many immigrants that the category of 'white British' becomes a minority in certain areas. It completely ruins the balance of society unless done carefully, and I imagine it was the same for my ancestors when the British did the same with their people in the Ulster Plantation.
The US, Canada, and similar countries may have (kind of) managed to figure out multiculturalism/having multiple races/whatever you wanna call it, but that's because that's what those countries are. America *is* a country of immigrants. Most countries in the world are inherently the country of the people from that place
People in the us are super segregated, look at states demographics, most people stick to their own, black with blacks, white with whites etc, only in big cities like New York or Los Angeles or in states like Florida Pennsylvania etc you see less segregation, but in other states it's super segregated. And then you have the social/racial problem with so many different people living together, black lives matter, proud boys, antifa etc all racially motivated, I really think America has figured multiculturalism, and honestly no country ever will, because at the end of the day, different people will be different
"Kind of" as someone from NYC, I will say that american multiculturalism DOES work. It's not perfect but in people's day to day lives it works pretty much just fine

The white British population in 1951 was 97% of the English and Welsh population. Those who were not White British were mostly either White Irish or White European. The Ethnic minority proportion in 1951 was 0.1% of the population, around 104,000 people. Of this ethnic minority population in 1951, half were born in the UK and half born abroad (mostly from the Caribbean and South Asian). Around one quarter of the ethnic minority population was of mixed background (White & Black or White & Asian). Its worth noting the 100,000 people were not all concentrated in one place, they were spread around the country. 40,000 were living in London (0.5% of the population), the districts with the highest concentration of ethnic minorities, did not have populations exceeding 1% in 1951. By the end of what we now call the Windrush migration period, which was freedom of movement with the Commonwealth. The population was, 94% White British, 3.2% Irish/European and 2.8% ethnic minorities. In total just under 1.3 million ethnic minorities and over a 12 times increase compared to 1951. But the vast majority of the country was still overwhelming white British. The Black population was around 1% and also the South Asian population was 1%. Across the whole of London in 1971, the population was 85% White British, compared to 94.4% in 1951. The ethnic minority population in London in 1971 was 7.8%. London had 10 districts out of 33, where there White British population was less than 80%, the lowest was Brent which was 70.7% White British, 8.4% Irish, 3.9% European and 17% ethnic minority. Only 37 out of the 348 modern districts had ethnic minority populations in excess of 5% and only 10 districts had ethnic minority populations over 10%. In terms of religions in 1971, the largest minority religion was Jewish, at 0.9% of the population and Muslims were 0.6% of the population. By 1991 the White British population's proportion was now 91.1%, Irish/Europeans were 3% and ethnic minorities were 5.9%. In London however ethnic minorities were 20.2% of the population and the White British had reduced to 71.9%. London had changed significantly since 1951, but these changes were concentrated in certain areas. Brent for example was 42.4% White British and 44.8% ethnic minority. Though Richmond was 87% White British and 5.5% ethnic minority. 79 districts out of the 348 had ethnic minority populations above 5%, 41 districts were greater than 10% and 19 districts were greater than 20%. in 1991, there were 212 districts with White British populations greater than 95%, where the average ethnic minority populations were 1%. In terms of religions in 1991, 77% were estimated as Christian, 1.8% Muslim, 0.85% Hindu, 0.6% Jewish and 0.5% Sikh. By 2021 as stated in this video the White British population was 74.4% and the ethnic minority population is 18.5%. Though a detailed analysis of the data shows that 226000 who are listed as White Ethnicity, also identify as Muslim. If these are added to the ethnic minority population, the total 'cultural minority population' is 18.8 or 11.2 million people. Which compares to 3 million ethnic minorities in 1991. In terms of religion, 46.2% said they were Christian and 37.2% were secular . Muslims had increased their dominance among minority religions to become 6.5% of the population, Hindus were 1.73%, Sikhs were 0.88% and Jewish were 0.46%. The proportion of the population who said they were both White British and Christian was 36.5%. The population in Greater London by 2021 was 36.2% White British and the total ethnic minority population (Including White Muslims) was 48%. The proportion of London residents who said they were both White British and Christian was 16.2%. Religions overall in London were 40.7% Christian, 27.1% Secular, 15% Muslim, 5.15% Hindu, 1.65% Jewish and 1.64% Sikh. In terms of the age structure in 2021, which gives an indication of how things are changing, the population of those aged 0 to 4 years old was 66.3% White British, and 28% Ethnic minority. The children were growing up in families which gave their religions as: 48.2% Secular (42% White British, 4.8% Ethnic Minority), 29.2% Christian (19% White British and 6.7% Ethnic minority), 11.2% Muslim (0.64% White and 10.56% Ethnic Minority), 1.95% Hindu, 1% Sikh and 0.54% Hindu. 7.5% of families did not give the religion (4.9% White British and 2% Ethnic minority). The White British population has barely grown since 1971 when it was 44.7 million, reaching a peak of 45.5 million people in 2001, it has now shrunk to 44.35 million, smaller than it was in 1971. The ethnic minority population grew from 104000 in 1951, to 3 million by 1991 and it now 11.2 million people a growth of 107 times since 1951, and by nearly 9 times since 1971. The fastest growing religion has been Islam, outstripping the other minority religions. There were an estimated 17,500 Muslim in 1951, compared to 590,000 Jewish, now there are 3.86 million Muslims, a growth of 220, while the Jewish population has shrunk to 271000 people. As a proportion of the Population Muslim's were only 0.04% of the population in 1951 and by 1981 they were 1.1% of the population. By the time of the 2021 census 1 in 9 young children were Muslim compared to a 1951 population of 1 out of 2500 people.

There may be fewer ethnically white British people, but there has been a huge resurgence in the British national identity. In 2011 most people in England identified as English only. It was mainly just London that had a British majority or plurality. However in 2021, it flipped round, with nearly everywhere in England with a majority or plurality of people identifying as British. What could have caused such a dramatic change in the way people identify their nation? Maybe Brexit? Maybe to counter Scottish nationalism? It turns out it's because they changed the order of the answers. More people picked "British" because that option was moved to the top of the list.
@@FOLIPE 2011 was the first time they asked the national identity question, so we don't know what people would have picked before that. But anyway, it seems there isn't any deep reason for the change, it's probably just explained by the fact the answers were listed in a different order in the 2021 census. I suspect most English people see British and English as pretty interchangeable, even though they are technically different things. So most people just ticked the first one that applied to them and didn't bother ticking any more.
People from ethnic minority backgrounds are more likely to identify with Britishness rather than Englishness in England (although that's changing with younger people). Their population grew since 2011. Maybe that could explain it?
@@alex-sv8ru No, the difference is far too big to be just because of that. Although it's probably a small factor.
Capitalism only cares about making so much money even at the loss of ethics, religion, social cohesion, family units and identity.

This of course doesn't need to be true, there are many cases where middle class areas are totally dominated by white people.
In some places, Asians are the dominant group because they happen to be the most successful in that particular town or city.
@@markusklyver6277 it is natural imao you just implied it is lol, groups self segregate because they want to work and be with people more similar to them.

ya'll gotta make more kids and live outside of cities.
why shouldnt they if you dont have a problem?
@@abu3960 Because it only becomes an issue when we become to minority in our own country, which is rapidly approaching. In general white peoples existence is under threat and i’m not some alt right conspiracy theorist and I don’t believe anyone is trying to do it on purpose but what’s basically happening is white people don’t have as many kids as other races do, combined with the fact that rampant immigration sweeps white countries and those immigrants may have kids with white people the white population will likely be gone within 200 years.
Regardless of that, i’m proud to be English. I’m proud of our culture and our culture has been drowned out, many immigrants don’t respect it or don’t care for it. Many of them just claim we either have no culture or ive even gone as far to say that modern British culture is just to be multi cultural and let the others bring their own culture. What a disgusting situation to be in, and as an English person who is proud of my countries history and culture how do you think it makes me and others feel watching it be drowned out and disrespected? If you have any issues or queries with it then you’re labelled racist and sent off. I’ve seen some immigrants or second immigrants go as far to celebrate that the UK is becoming less white, or even go as far to say that this is “their country” now.
I don’t see anyone saying that a white Christian Englishman person can no longer be a white Christian Englishman. Also with regards to culture immigrants tend to largely assimilate. I’d argue most of the recent shifts in culture are more due to the internet and the Americans than the immigrant population. In addition to that I don’t see how English culture is being destroyed in any real way or how white Englishmen are removed since by number there are more now than at any point in history.
That’s one of the whitest places in London
Cultural change is inevitable. The only difference between now and the past is that nowadays the whole process is sped up.

The UK is the only sovereign country to have left the EU. The UK had been a member state of the EU or its predecessor the European Communities (EC), sometimes of both at the same time, since 1 January 1973. Following Brexit, EU law and the Court of Justice of the European Union no longer have primacy over British laws, except in select areas in relation to Northern Ireland.

It's really not even genius. It's literally what Britain had been doing for centuries with people imported from their empire or other European nations.
Western governments, especially in the English speaking West, are using mass migration as a cheap and easy source of economic growth without considering the societal consequences that it brings. So instead of doing their job and coming up with policies for long term, sustainable economic growth they’d rather bring in millions of Indians, Chinese and Africans who will compete with the local population for resources like living space, education, and healthcare. As if the housing market, healthcare system and public transport systems in places like London, New York, Sydney and Toronto aren’t already unbearable enough because of decades of migration, let’s bring in millions more. That’ll surely be better for all of us.
It is absolutely necessary to bring in more people when there are not enough people born within your borders to support the elderly. I cant speak for everywhere, but many parts of america could use more people. Any strain on government services is an issue with funding and running those services. Outside reform, it helps to bring in more taxpayers

@@mooftwosnum1fan480that’ll probably work if the rate of population growth occurs at a natural, sustainable rate. You can change the zoning laws and build as many apartments and multi family housing as you want but when you’ve got an inflated rate of migration and millions of people moving in every year it’ll never be enough. Just look at New York, Seoul, Hong Kong and many many other cities around the world, they’re filled with condos and apartments yet the housing market is just as crazy. You can’t just out build this problem, mass migration is simply unsustainable and it has huge negative impacts on the society and it’s native inhabitants. Doesn’t matter how many apartments you build when all of them are going to be out bid by some rich Chinese or Indian investors.
@@tangledspoons1396I live in America and I can tell you that there are many parts of this country that can use LESS people. There are cities in this country where schools and hospitals are overcrowded and you think that bringing in millions more people every year is going to alleviate that? Again, mass migration is just a tool that politicians use for cheap and fast economic growth instead of doing their job to come up with real long term sustainable economic plans. Studies have shown that in the majority of the field, mass migrations actually lowers the pay of the native inhabitants. That’s why corporations are such advocates of it and they’ve brainwashed you into thinking that it’s good for society.

Lineage is what makes you British, or any other ethnicity. It's not a "feeling".
@@OscarDirlwood I never claimed it to be a feeling. Ethnicity to me is a shared cultural and linguistical background, and I most definitely am British based off of those factors. I may have significant South Asian heritage, but I'm culturally not at all familiar with the area or local languages- it's impractical to lump me into a racial group based solely off of my genetics.
ngl my city is like 40% or 44% white

@Victoria Haque again, ethnicity isnt a feeling, which is essentially what you suggest. I could have been born in china, with the makeup i have now. It wouldn't make me Han or whatever. I'm still a foreigner.
Lineage is arguably the most important part of the ethnicity. The reason being, your ancestors created your language and culture. You personally have just adopted it, as opposed to inheriting it.

And it really is different when a European cultured country has european immigrants than a european country having arab immigrants or asians or every other ethnic group that isn't from europe.

You give let's say a month or 2 for people to leave peacefully by themselves, after the time limit is past then you get forcefully deported.
better than Sweden at least...
I think Sweden has lower figures though

Well, better than America…
Situation of UK is just like Japan, but UK is taking in immigrants.
I think the White British population in 1951 must have been more than 97%
In census 2021, white British in England alone is 84%

There may be fewer ethnically white British people, but there has been a huge resurgence in the British national identity.
In 2011 most people in England identified as English only. It was mainly just London that had a British majority or plurality.
However in 2021, it flipped round, with nearly everywhere in England with a majority or plurality of people identifying as British.
What could have caused such a dramatic change in the way people identify their nation? Maybe Brexit? Maybe to counter Scottish nationalism?
It turns out it's because they changed the order of the answers. More people picked "British" because that option was moved to the top of the list.
It's a ressurgence or just a new phenomenon?
The number of people identifying as English only dropped from 57.7% in 2011 down to just 14.9% in 2021. The number of people identifying as British only went from 19.1% up to 54.8%.
The increase in people from ethnic minority backgrounds is much smaller than that.
The ONS themselves say the difference is probably caused by the change to the question, rather than because of changes in demographics or attitudes.

What you said about the ageing populations and needing more people isn't true at all. Europe is already overpopulated. Luckily we are entering an age of automation and AI, so we will need *less* people and there will be less jobs. When that is in full-swing we are going to have serious problems with the higher population. The fact we are naturally having less children is nature's way of rebalancing the system.
