Neat solutions. Really seems like every diff/tc/gear box valve extension job is different. There's always some unique issues. The fittings you used to pair your existing extension hoses to those of the kit was very clever.
Yeah man unless it’s a specific kit for your car I’d buy everything separately. If I knew it was going to be that much of a pain I would have bought everything from the hose shop and done it for a quarter of the price 😂
Cheers mate. About to fit mine to my 05 model and thought I'd see what the world of UA-cam has to offer for instructions. Should be pretty similar... I hope lol
Great video man :) It's great that you didn't just edit your mistake out, but let us see what we should not do. Thank you :) Cheers, Don, Perth WA MY22 Fortuner (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
G'day mate, thanks for sharing your install process. You said the 3 lines on top of the bell housing are for the gearbox, transfer case and front diff. I had a look under mine today and it seems like two of those are coming from the transfer case (one for the actuator) and one comes from the gearbox. The front diff breathers (there's 2 of them, one is for the ADD) are actually located under the fuel filter.
@@Ozoffroad_ No worries at all. Unfortunately not a lot of information about this in the owner's or workshop manual and on the internet. Took a fair bit of crawling to figure out what's where. And only then you realize that you don't need half the stuff that came with your vehicle specific kit and need to go out and buy some extra fittings to extend the factory lines.. Might be a good follow up video idea for you
Hi Oz off-road. I watched another vid where a guy fitted the plastic hose and it melted. He recommended the silicone hoses to prevent this. What’s your thoughts
Realise I’m coming a bit late to the party but can you remember the size of the barbs you used for extending the hose? Also did you just push them in or was there an existing clip used to put locking pressure on the barbs. Cheers.
Hey mate Naar I don’t remember sorry just take an off cut of hose when you get them and I’m pretty sure it was just pushed on and zip tie for a little bit of extra pressure
hey man, i just started doing my breather kit install on my 2016 n80 SR hilux, just wondering what actual shop did you go down to get the rubber hose fitting and snap lock fitting for the breathers that are on the bell housing?

Hey mate umm it’s a good preventative but I have had no problem with mine I just made sure it wasn’t to close to anything hot in the end 🤙🏻
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate the tips.
No worries 👍🏻

Do you have any type of cargo holding devices in the rear tray of your Hilux?
$150!!! Wow! I did the one in my Tundra for about $25 & ran it right up behind my drivers side taillight.
Yeah pretty much paying for the brand name 😂

Hey mate I went to a place called house of hose. And grab the plastic hose man more durable than rubber 🤙🏻
