You’re the man JP. This guide is epic and answers every question I had (apart from whether the fuel tank breather is necessary, still can’t find a straight answer on the FB groups 😅). Can also be done without a hoist, though a bit stiff the next day. If anyone with an NP300 reads this comment, I used the DieselBoss 6-port kit for $98. Not quite what I was expecting for $98, but did the job in the end. One of the fittings sheared off and gave me a near heart attack, but was redeemed by the Allen key internals which allowed me to remove it. The included hose would not fit over 3 of the 4 factory connections even using the heat gun, so had to piggyback off existing pipes. Could probably do with twice the zip ties too. Otherwise fits perfect in this same spot that JP used with a sneaky rivnut.
Cant believe the factory breather set up - I thought they at least had one way valves or SOMETHING on the end of the hoses instead of nothing at all! Great video maaaaarte. So detailed and entertaining the whole way through. Really appreciate the first class content. Subscribed 🤙
The manifold can benefit from being placed up under a cover to act as an airpocket. Or on the rear of the body, or as high as possible up behind the tray headboard, these spots definitely benefit from a protective cover above the manifold to prevent dust settling on the breather ports getting wet and turning to mud that dries and seals the porous breather elements on the manifold. Some items most people miss is the winch and/any compressors for difflocks/airbags/onboard air systems. Basically anything with a sealed, protruding output shaft that tends to get hot when operational and is subjected to being immersed in water.
Well done brother. Makes me extremely happy to see an Aussie youtuber demonstrating some helpful and relatively easy mods to do to a car that wouldnt get much attention otherwise. Already helped with a couple of my mods. Keep up the good work, ill hang around for a long time💪🏻
Once lockdown is finished, get the modified np300 to go to Portland for the sand dune driving, it's the only place you can drive on the beach in Victoria and is massive!
Hey mate been following from the start. Youve done it anc convinced me. You and RoamLyfe have done it haha. Tommorow is the day I join the nav crew hahah yeww
Very helpful indeed. Yes u should have apparels decals and what other ideas u have. Yes yur hoodie looks great.. howz is the rear bumper shaping up? Also i notice you have no rear diff bar. Did you remove it, and why?
great vid. is i have an ARB diff breather on my nav. but only 4 x 8mm-1/8 BSP Push in fittings that fits the manifold. is it the same push in fittings to tread with the diffs?
I have a catch can kit sitting on the shelf ready to go on. But I have seen some adverse effects from the catch can install on these engines. So I have more research to do before i do an install vid for you guys.
@@jpcaptured799 would love to hear what research you find out, as I’m about to fit a catch can myself. I haven’t heard any cons about it but your opinion would be great 👍🏼
Nightmare of a job for 2017 Sr5 Hilux. front diff has two breathers for the ADD and two breathers in the transfer case plus the front and rear diff, except the rear rear all of them are in an impossible spot. I never finished it lol
Two comments. Firstly you shouldn't cut air lines with snips use a blade instead as it doesn't warp the end of the hose. (Was told this by a mechanic) Secondly you should do a video on relocating the boost solenoids up the that bracket. Great videos tho bud.

I do like this setup all 4 are on the bottom looks way neater with all the lines setup then the arb Setup that 2 are on bottom and 2 are on top

Love that this kit comes with more the. 4 fittings the arb only comes with 4 fittings that is sweet

What is the hose inside diamter and outside diameter?
Only problem with ur merch is that it will be NP300 merch and not Nav merch? I own a D40. Thanks for the vid, cheers.
Loved the vid! Was wondering when you’re going to do a catch can and pre fuel filter vid?

That sucks man.. it's not like Toyota to make things that hard normally..
Just plumb them into the air-box, then they have snorkel clearance too...
Great video thanks
I like your limb guards, Where did you get them ???
Awesome mate thank you for sharing
Anyway to test it works before you hit the water?
not that I know of, someone else may be able to comment with an idea.
How to protect the electrical?

Any idea where I can get these kits in Europe, and a 6 port for a Nissan Pathfinder r51? Thanks
sorry i am not sure about Europe, but I believe that the 4wd shed would ship internationally.
can you please do one for the hilux?
Catch can install?
Hmmm, JP. Us jou pa 'n boer?
Any chance of fitting tailgate struts
I have thought about it man
Where the stickers at mate? Shed sessions
When will the gme install be done ?

literally as I cut the lines I was like, yup someone is going to comment on using cutters 😆👌 yeh maybe, they do seem to be problematic, cheers.

@@jpcaptured799 Need a boost solenoid location video aswell mine always get mud in the filters 😅 Any fixes to this?

nope, i do have spare ports on the manifold though 😏 should use em up
Can u run from the manifold connect to the snorkel?
Yes you can, it actually has this option in the instructions 👍
