    There's an oddly poetic thought in how big those guns are, the deafening thud of each round sent down range which is amplified by those tiny, concrete spaces. To have the potential to do so much damage yet ultimately failing, falling to the Allied efforts. Silent ever since.

    • @TheRhythmicBiker
      @TheRhythmicBiker  5 місяців тому +1

      @@UncleRed Very beautifully said mate, I think that’s what stuck with me the most, the fact that these weapons were so massive and so powerful, protected by thick concrete forts, yet their story is one of failure, and now the defect will be forever there frozen in time for all to come and see. It’s poetic

    Mate, your French accent scares the beejezus outta me 😜 Your content always top notch though. Am jealous, France is amazing on a mcycle 👌 Be safe, enjoy 👍
    BTW, little bugbear of mine... majority of biking community doesn't do HiVi cos "it's not cool". Everything u can do to avoid being road kill is cool in my book. Your video REALLY proves the point. Look at group shots and watch how rider at front drops easily off your radar, still visible but hard to see, while HiVi ALWAYS stays in your view, forward, peripheral or otherwise ! We need to be carrying out the same testing and scientific research as has been done for lids, full face helmets, riding gear, air bags etc. The community is so slow, dragging it's feet into looking at effectiveness of HiVi clothing n lids 😕

      @@1050cc Aha thanks for watching mate, unfortunately my French doesn’t improve throughout the trip 😂
      I agree that it is so important especially when it comes to safety. We all had reflective stickers on our helmets (mine had built in lights) and even my pannier boxes had reflective strips on them. Especially when riding in a group, it’s important to stay seen and stay safe
