Cahagnes = [ka a gn'] Solo cycling can get tough and rough. Challenging times make for bigger sense of achievement and long-lasting memories. Keep going, you tiger! Happy cycling!
Hi, I live in Caen and I'm a bikepack traveller, nice to see you cycling in my region. One of my favorite in France is " les châteaux de la Loire à vélo " a very pleasant and easy cycling path along the longest river of the country that I recomand you 😄
Endlich mal jemand, der das Bikepacking nicht zum Leistungssport werden lässt, sondern mit Spaß an die Sache herangeht und auch Fehlschläge mit einem Lächeln wegsteckt. So gefällt mir das. Danke!
Great video. Thanks for showing the difficult, less glamorous aspects of bike travel. Every trip has its ups and downs and you've been on the road a long time! Keep going.
This channel is WAY under-subscribed. Something will happen, one video will just hit the algorithm and bam, 500K subs in a month. Great videos! 🚴🚴♀🚴🚴♀🚴🚴♀
What a wonderful video. That moment in the beginning, when you suddenly felt euphoric, and just so happy - I know that feeling - it's what you get when I set out on an adventure. Well done. It doesn't come cheap - it comes as a result of courage and a sense of adventure. You earned it girl. Stay safe.
Learning a lot from these videos, ill be joining you very soon in about 2-3 months and mine is a bit more challenging as I will be cycling from Southern Africa to Europe and I've been doing all kinds of research because nothing is holding me back. You're such a huge inspiration and I hope to one day run into you
Watching these videos back to back, my heart is yearning to travel. But it's winter and this is canada. I hope that you continue your journey 😙💞 life or death, the trials and tests never end
Bus shelters are fantastic. I have used them all over Europe, many out in the middle of nowhere which is safer and I have only ever been approached by someone once ever. Super cool places to catch a knap.
That 'cycle path' across the bridge definitely looks very dangerous, especially with the gradient and the narrowness of the path. Years ago, on vacation we crossed that bridge by car and I must say it even was intimidating inside the car (I remember turning around a corner and thinking: "We are going over thát?!" Wise decision you took there, but a pity there was no separated bike lane
Welcome back. Always happy to see you … and wish I was there doing this with you. I am curious … what is the plan for the cold winter months … going to get off the bike for a while … winter up somewhere … what’s the plan Cheerio …
Hello, you can also cross the Seine on the Tancarville Bridge (10km) or on the Brotonne Bridge (20km) wich is safer. The safer way to cross the seine with a bicycles is to take one of the little ferrys who are near Rouen. It's a big problem from my point of view. The Normandy Bridge is not so old. When he was built people should have think about bicycles. Especially because France has a long tradition of cycling (for racing, for sport or for fun) and we claim to be a great country for tourism.
You are amasing! Thank you for this inspiring video. I hope next year I will be able to get back on my bike too and will go in a long journey, and it will be great :)
Great! Hope to join you out on the road again one day! 👍Nearly got round to editing the video we go to the col de rates! Only 1 year late haha, better late than never!
Nearly 40 years ago my wife and I rode to Etretat. The wind was so strong that we took nine hours to cycle just 45 miles. I rode at the front, in first gear all day. I could have ridden in second, but every time I tried I would lose my wife who was sheltering in my slipstream. The wind was too loud to be able to hear each other, but the views were great.
Going off the bridge & down the many steps likely broke the spoke..going off curbs & bumpity stairs will do in spokes..taking panniers off rear & shouldering them.during stairs might save you grief🐾
Good job. France is beautiful when you are looking at history of this country and you can find there a lots of really amazing places. I wonder what your feelings were after a lonely trip in France. Did you feel safe there?
Hi and thank you for your sharing! You should install a dynamo (son28 320€) on your wheel with light and hub usb (kLite kit Ultra Adventure V2 490€ ( the best actualy )) It seems expensive but you will be self-sufficient in electricity =)
Did you find just camping in a field was ok? I'm looking at doing a similar trip and it would be good to know what the situation is with semi-stealth camping
I'll start from germany riding to Grand Canaria and take a sailing boat from there. starting next Spring. I'll be looking for company i think and i know how to fix all kinds of bikes ;)
Maybe you could bike to Val pellice, Italy and visit martijn doolaard, he is a cyclist, photographer and currently has a UA-cam channel about restoring ruins …good luck on your adventures 👍🤙✌️
It looks like you made some major changes to your bike bag setup? On the videos from the Canaries it looked quite different, you had two large backroller? Now you have bikepacking bags? Have you ever presented your new setup and the reasons for the changes in one of your videos?
I thought you were french before you asked how to prnounce thename of the town ! Ahah Very simple "KA AH GNe*E" ("gn" sounds like the N in "onions", the E is mute)

Have an awesome journey! And yeah, about the old intro... it was just way too long so I just decided to go without it

Yes that bridge is scarry and I'd never cross it again. I'd recommend taking a detour cause that was definitely way too dangerous!
such a nice attitude!
un saludo desde tarragona

Красиво 👍
thanks
Exfoliating gloves! Cheap, and you only need a bit of water. You can use them for general washing without soap as well. Also, damn scary bridge.
Never thought getting Peeling Gloves:D think im gonna go with the face scrub 😁
I was bycicleing that bridge 2 weeks ago. I took the pedestrian part to. To dangerous on the bycicle part.....
Yeah it so so damn dangerous!
@@giantcheerio question: what do you use for editing your videos, phone, tablet??

I did feel save. Just at night, I sometimes misinterpret the sounds of nature and I get scared a bit. But that's pretty normal I guess :)
Very nice my dear,❤️❤️❤️
Hello,
Bravo pour ce beau voyage!!
Could you please tell me the brand of your rear panniers?
Big thanks.
Sure! I am using the aeroe spider rear rack:)

Did you see any historical signs of damages from WW2 ?
No I didn't
I've been that route 2x and crossing at Pont du Brotonne is a better place to cross, EuroVelo routes around La Havre is not good
So true!
And how much money did you spend for the cake and the coffee? 😅
Don't remember the exact price but it was around 12€ I guess
