Plus he's not afraid to call a dumbass a dumbass when they get out of line! His parents should be so proud. And I'm sure they are (R.I.P. EVH). I would be.
Man, this flat out ROCKS! Caught a track on the radio and it blew me away, and when they said "Mammoth" at the cut's completion, I turned to my son and said: "I caught Ed in a band called Mammoth back in the 70's at my high school". I was puzzled, as I thought the name was likely copyright protected. A week later another cut came blowing through the airwaves, and it also flat-out kicked ass. A couple-few months went by and something Bettencourt was saying about Eddie got me to thinking about the Mammoth days and early VH parties over at what was a huge rehearsal studio (not a Warner's property... damn, my memory from the period in the early 1980's is vague, but I think it was over at the old A&M fortress on La La Brea). All of which led me to pull up some Mammoth material via youtube. Now it all makes perfect sense. Very cool, indeed!
Wolfgang has some serious talent. Glad to see he isn't trying to copycat the King and doing his own thing. The song is really good and his vocals are on spot.

As a sound engineer, and a guitarist, who plays in a band, that records our own music, I found this video to be hilarious! Wolf's talent is undeniable! As a lifelong fan of Van Halen, and now as a fan of Mammoth WVH, I could not be prouder of what Wolf is doing. As a side note, the ending of the video caused the Diet Coke I was drinking, to shoot out of my nose!
@@StatusQuonald You didn't get it? Someone who's played in a band and has some experience recording, has a better understanding of the video, and has experienced much of the antics involved in this process, like Wolf does with the other Wolf's. And particularly, how difficult this process is with a group, let alone a single person, like Wolf. Then the band and recording sound great? Quite a feat, indeed! The opinion of someone who's experienced all these things, gives more weight to what they're saying than someone unfamiliar with this process. The comment was self deprecating actually, and very humble, as many people spend a career without having such success as this production! P.S. Some equate success as "in record sales". Most know it when they hear/see it. I loved the video, music, and the great "Spinal Tap" type humor, with several twists to it! Very, very impressive! Damn wolf you got it all Dad's guitar playing Uncle Alex's drumming killer vocals you are blessed my friend your father would be very proud
Wow wow finally somebody putting out some kick-ass music this song freaking is an instant classic. Kudos my young Van Halen.
And his mom's acting skills...
@@joshuabiddix2923 his grandfather would have freaked out over him.. Jan was the musician. EVH/AVH were just kids that watched father play in a band

Could Not have said it better🙄👍
This is INSANE! Tornado of talent. Holy mother of God. Ed did not oversell him. #GOWOLF
This young man is a gift! THANK YOU for sharing your talents with us!
This kid is not just a legit rock singer songwriter... but hilarious as well! Only a matter of time before he has cameos in comedies! Must respect! 🦾
Cameo? He could have his own series, lol. He's funnier than many of the comedians on tv these days. Rock and comedy go very well together. His dad's band proved that.
No wonder his dad was so proud of him....talented kid!!
Eddie made it known that he was proud of what his son is writing and putting together. It's his own sound and it kicks ass. Pretty much to that effect
Laid it on me
Fuck yeah. Not only did this R A W K, but to be this guy, stepping out this boldly from the shadow of legends with this kind of authority and he's still fearlessly self-deprecating? Thats how you know a kid was raised right. God bless you Wolf, I can't wait to hear what you do next.
Preech on it brother! My thoughts exactly.
Long live the Van Halens!
-megafan from waaay back in '81
Your 💯% RIGHT. He's one talented man. I keep wanting to say kid, but he's not. It's hard for me to call my son a man & he'll be 25 in 10 days. He'll actually always be my baby( my son) I was one & done. I'm sure Valerie gets what I'm saying. Distance came out after I list my husband. He was only 43. Not the virus, Not Drugs. Bleeding in the brain. Happened so fast. Don't think I'll ever be right. I've Lost too many loved ones. Keep up the Great Music Wolfie. Always remember your Dad Loves You So Much. As does Your Mom. Oh & us fans of the Next Great Van Halen 🎵🎸🎤🎶🥁
@DEFUND WELFARE .......you've completely lived down to my expectations, Precious.
That will get some people’s attention. That tune rocks!
LOL - he sucks
Love how the ending shows he inherited his dad and uncle's sense of humor.
I appreciate the fact that you aren't trying to sound like your dad. I really like the song.
LoL Mr Pusser ;[)
First off what's wrong with you sounding like your dad I can only wish to have a father who wanted to just to acknowledge that I was alive in his world let alone put a gift & a blessing such as your father did in his love of music I've learned to let go of the negative impact of how my father let me down after he left when I was 4 and a half never a birthday card or a call but through the kick ass body of music created by your dad I was saved & ultimately hooked so if you played your music & this song wich is awesome by the way... through a tuba or kazoo it's yours no standing in anyone's shadow, which is a legacy a shadow is dark, embrace that sound emulate it for it's the sound of life, the life your father gave to you & me god bless you wolf play on & Mr van halen I hope to jam with you if make it up there...lol
@@RobertRodriguez-ow8dn bro, chill, hes just sayin he respects the fact wolf is taking his own direction and not following directly after his late great father
“We can fix that right ?” 😂😂 this guy 🙏🏼👍🏼🔥
Wolf isn’t “forging his own path”...he kicked the fuckin door down..
No, He just drove a freaking TANK through it, then proceeded to level the entire building.
His father would be proud.
This man can play period. And these are excellent products of his labor. Wouldn't expect anything else EVH son and band mate.
I’m positive his Dad is watching from above playing the air guitar smiling with his classic grin. Simply outstanding Wolfgang!
That was awesome!!!!! Can’t wait to hear some more..
His dad is prob playing his custom...plugged in bro
I am so happy that you are doing so well Wolfie I know it's been hard but you are so talented you do great your dad's very proud of you right now
I was devastated to think that all that great music disappeared when we lost Eddie last year. After hearing Wolfgang play, I'm beyond excited to see that it hasn't. Wolfgang is carrying the torch now and standing tall doing it. Absolutely awesome.
I was happily surprised
Gave me shivers
Jesus, can play like crazy, got his own sound, style, funny, an great vocals, very very impressive... well done wolfy...

The apple didn't fall far from the tree. THIS IS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Wolf. Keep it up!
Awesome rock. He's got his Dad's talent and his Mom's outgoing personality but 100% of the credit goes to him for developing and using his talents and forging his own way with his unique music.
Refreshing to see Wolf establish himself in the rock music world carving his own legacy and identity. His dad would be and was proud of Wolf. Rock on!
Mad talented WVH.. Rock lives on 🐺🤘
Hes gonna save rock n roll cause hes a Van Halen😎
I wouldn’t except anything less from rock legends family the Van Halen’s !💯🎸🖤🔥🎤🎵
He's amazing!!!!
Rock lives on! We need these guys to keep it going

I'm in my 50's and I loved your dad growing up. F the grammy's. With you 1000%. I boycotted the lame ass grammy's long ago anyways. You rock homeboy.
Amen!
Grammys was once the highlight of my year. I quit watching years ago. They've done a horrible disservice to those who won when it meant something. You did the right thing, Wolf. Grammy who? 😘❤😘❤😘
W O W !
This kid is SO fucking talented. Not sure what impresses me most about him. Not only can he do it all musically, looks natural in front of a camera, his whole demeanor speaks of the buddy down the street kinda guy.
That said, I was still hoping for a lead break, even if just a melody line.
He may be his father's son, but he's his own man and he stands alone under no one's shadow.
It's in his genes but this guy is his own man.... brilliant. A living tribute to his father. A living legacy. Jawdropping stuff!🤘🤘
Listening to him for the 1st time because so many of my friends are at the concert in LR, AR tonight. Holy shit!!! So proud of him!!!
I'm just an old lady, but this song rocks! When you get on tour, I'm there.
You're obviously young at heart girl.

If not then she gets to hang with Eddie before I do.
Rock on,WVH brought light and joy back ito a bleak world.
Hope to see you there Angie.

It's wonderful to see that Wolf is forging his own path in music, instead of relying on the Van Halen name to carry him along. He is crazy talented, and I can't wait to continue watching him on his musical journey.
That ending was too good!
WVH really surprised me with this amazing song and video!
Van Halen is back in the house!👍💜🙏
anyone who doesn't watch to the end is missing out. Talent and a sense of humor. Priceless.

Great performance by Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang played every instrument. Bravo!
i think the biggest surprise, to me, is wolf's vocals. he has a surprisingly strong voice. i wasn't expecting that.

pro tools, digital overlay .....either way most do it now and its awesome to see Wolfie doing what he loves .what his Dad loved! RIPEddie!! VH is in all my childhhod memories
And I believe he plays all of the instruments also... talented no matter how you look at it, and I don’t mean based on the video, I read that his songs he is recording has all parts done by him
I dunno, I kinda thought Wolf's vocals were the stronger of the three. Wolf's weren't bad though.
@@hotlov72 So?
My heart may always explode knowing your lineage... but this right here is proof you are paving your own path. BAD ASS, Wolf!! You absolutely killed it 🔥
Exactly!! I am very happy about that fact. His own talent and not living under anyone else’s shadow.
BINGO!
Right on.
Damn Wolfie! Suddenly the future is looking a whole lot brighter. I've been saying for years - where the hell is the next generation of rock musicians? The old guys never went away, the 70's & 80's just stuck around. 90's hit and disappeared and nothing stuck after that. FINALLY got a contender worth listening to. You continue to do Ed and rock fans proud. Can't wait for this album. Well done Wolf, and Wolf, and Wolf, and Wolf, and Wolfie, and Wolfgang and.... i think I forgot someone.... did i already say Wolf?
