Watching Tim's videos always makes me want to follow in his footsteps, explore these great spots, and enjoy the best things in life. He is the consumate tour guide.
Excellent video from a big time Rail Fan. I'm also a former New Yorker born and raised. I lived on the south shore of Long Island in the Brookhaven Township and when wanted to visit our relatives up in New England we took the Port Jefferson Ferry. You brought back great memories. Thanks for the hard work. Regards'
Great video. I'm a big fan of the Vermonter as it goes through my town of Northampton, MA. There have been some delays since the return of service and I can see why. But today they did much better with the engine switch and it arrived here two minutes early.
Great documentation! I make this trip all the time. Former LI-er currently living in New Haven. You certainly picked an ideal day weather wise to come to NH!
Another great video! You answered a question I had about whether those former Amtrak P40 locomotives were going to be repainted into CTRail livery. Good to hear!
That was a fun outing. Nice variety of trains. What I wonder is how the state of Connecticut has enough business to support Amtrak and CTrail. Anyone have the answer? Those P40s are in desperate need of a paint job. Glad to hear they’ll receive the CTrail “Coke Zero” livery.
The State Street station is a short walk from New Haven's famed Wooster Square, home of many great pizza places such as Pepe's, Sally's and Modern Apizza.
Those Genesis locos look so beat up, you would have thought with things shut down last year they would have done some maintenance and painting or at least got new number decals
Why don't they use electro-diesel hybrid locomotives for the entire run from DC to Vermont? Wouldn't that eliminate the need for switching locomotives?
I think mbta commuter rail needs to run to new haven along side of Connecticut rail and metro north due to how Amtrak is expensive people who are in Connecticut can ride our commuter rail into Boston instead Amtrak.

You got such impressive narrative skills about the status of train schedules and the routes they're assigned to.

Thank you for a great video. Good to see the Vermonter back in action, and how interesting to show State St station in New Haven. Many thanks.
CTrail's Geeps are classified GP40-3H's
They look a lot like New Jersey transit version and they make it easy by putting the engine type on the cab window
Thank you for this very informative video on New Haven train operations and the idyllic ferry ride across Long Island Sound!
Just so DAMNED well put together...love it, love it, love it!
Beautiful ride across. Enjoy the train rides so much.
Love the journeys you take.
Love watching you
I went to Vermont a few days ago. Good to know Vermonter service is back, nice video

The weather dictates my travel plans. That’s why you see a lot of good weather on my videos.
Wonderful, informative video as usual!
Got me thinking shall I divert via Port Jefferson next year and do the Long Island railroad into New York
This is amazing, especially on the ferry boat on the East Coast of the US

Shore Line East is actually part of CT Rail. CT Rail is made up of the Shore Line East and Hartford Line, and both lines are part of CT Rail
I was on train 56 back in February 2019 to Waterbury-Stowe, VT with my Dad for a ski trip just a few months before the outbreak of COVID-19

Good information if I make the trip from Ohio. Thanks.

Can they not repaint the P40s in McGinnis NH colours.
Wish they would
Why do some of the windows look like they are "blanked out?"
yooo!! I go to the University of Bridgeport!
