Foxbody Water Pump Hack Job Revealed! - Blue DECH Mustang on Air TIPS04E38
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 тра 2021
- Getting this 88 Foxbody Mustang on Ride Tech Air Ride ready for its new owner. I knew the water pump had some issues but I didn't know they were this bad! Broken bolts suck to run into but with a little bit of effort we managed to get it out. I also started on the 1/4 window moldings so this thing is almost ready to go to its new home!

I really think I'm going to have to get a Dech body kit at some point. It's really REALLY growing on me.
That's what I like to hear!
Wow great job with water pump Chris, what a hack repair done on that water pump, it was great for
you to repair it without taking the front cover off, removing 5 lbs. of goop and broken bolts. That car
is looking outstanding and sounds so awesome my friend. The owner should be pleased.
I hear ya about the weather. Finally have a nice day in Ontario. I replaced the cut front springs that had spacers with stock ones with new isolators ......now the front sits 2 inches higher than the rear. FML.
Oh well now to buy Eibachs.
Hey I bought it like that brother. But I knew you would make this thing perfect
Nothing better than fresh looking quarter windows.......I better get to mine.....
I've got an 87 LX with 160k mi.... only owner. It was running borderline hot, so I started investigating and seeing that the water pump outlets were corroded, etc. As I investigated discovered a mechanic I paid to replace the h2o pump in 94 had broken a wp/tc cover bolt. He didn't tell me. Instead, to avoid removing the cover, he formed a 1/4" steel "bracket" that used a compressor bolt. The bracket applied pressure to the face of the wp where the broken bolt would have. It worked I guess but a hack job nonetheless. After removing the tc cover, I discovered not enough bolt available to weld a nut, it was basically welded into the block, so I drilled it out eventually & used a threaded insert... not fun at all! I just got new tc cover installed. Been 3 yrs since I drove it and I'm almost there.
Wow that's a crazy story. Amazing what some people do sometimes to avoid fixing stuff the right way
Thanks for the Video
Real cool stuff, them wheels look real familiar.😜😜😂
Damn I really like this car !
I always thought.... if you don't have the time to do it right the first time, when will you find the time to fix it
Good stuff. I never was a fan of color matched intakes .
BEEN THERE BEFORE BUDDY!
Those rims look sharp on the white coupe by the lift!
So many foxes...how do you decide what to do next and next and next?!
👍🏻
What rims are those on the blue Dutch coupe!?
I am looking for a foxbody for my son. I wanted to ask you where is the best place to find a fox. We have 10k to spend and I think I should be able to find a nice fox for that price.
What’s that hood type. I like it
Andy's Autosports IIRC
@@TheInfamousProject you’re awesome, thank you👍
That DEWALT light is all over this video. Sponsorship incoming?
Lol I doubt it. However it does work very well
@@TheInfamousProject I was looking for a dewalt light but couldn't make a decision on which one.
