ArturskyCom I think it’s a great camera, it takes some great pictures and good video footage and has a great focus I just wish the flip screen had a bit better quality but I love the camera it was a great buy and worth the money

I have the SX730 , excellent camera , if you zoom in and it goes out of focus just press the zoom button lightly and it will automatically adjust the focus. hope it helps
Maybe because the EOS M10 is a few years old but that SX730 is far more superior in comparison. Glad I picked one up. The only thing is the SX730 better then the G7x? I think for video blogging the G7x might still be better but when you get both photo quality and video option I think SX730 is the way to go.

the Canon wins, IMHO, because the sucker is more portable. You use what you have at hand and you are more likely to have the more portable camera at hand more of the time.

Shelia Saady I haven’t seen a lot of graininess in low light. But with that said, if you don’t need that super zoom the M10 is a solid choice and you won’t go wrong with it.
I use the M10 and I love it! I have used it in my past 2 videos and when u have good lighting it's fantastic! Especially for my sit down videos! Check my last two videos out for some help deciding if u want man!
I have the canon sx730 and i cant seem to find the best settings so my pictures don't come out blurry inside and outside.. and also when im outside i cant get my camera to focus when im testing out the zoom.. if that makes any scene

Lol that walking fast part was funny. Question tho: On the 730 do you know how or if it’s possible to pause video while recording instead of stopping the video every time you want to transition?
Yea you’re right I just saw a video from a camera company saying the new point n shoot/dslr don’t have pause because that was an old feature of video recorders.. and another guy who’s filmed for years said it’s much easier to edit multiple 30-120 second clips than a 29min long video which I can see why when I’ve tried to edit. But I did just return my Nikon B500 which did pause for the sx730 today and man I love this camera for video so far! Only thing I want to do is add a micromuff which might be challenging with the mics near the top back but I think I can manage. I use the Sony A5100 for my UA-cam channel and it's a great camera. Very nice vlogging camera. It does not have a mic in port which is the only issue I found, but the built in mic is pretty good. It's a little more expensive than the Canon SX730 HS. The SX730 HS as per DaxM's video is pretty good for an everyday vlogging or video camera. Looks light weight and like the Sony has a folding screen which is great for vlogging.

However, I use the canonconnect app(s) to transfer my videos to my devices (iPhone & MacBook) and the videos always transfer in 720p instead of the 1080p 60fps I recorded in, canon was not much help so could you please tell me how you transfer your videos to edit & upload?

The EOS M10 compared to the SX730 seems to be what the Sony a1000 is compared to the EOS M10 in your other video. But the M10 still seems to be a good camera. One thing I didn't hear you mention was a mic jack. Does anyone of them have it?

You know, I’m not sure. I haven’t heard the G7X noise you’re talking about but I suspect it’s the same noise the M10 makes. It’s very quiet, but there. Can’t say for sure about the SX730 though.
I just got the canon sx730hs also because I have a UA-cam channel I would use my iPhone to record . I haven’t made a video yet with my camera but I hope it’s good 😩 I’m still trying to learn how to use it lol

@ 1:27 you say that they can’t shoot pass 30fps? But the sx730 can shoot up to 60fps though in 1080p.
Ya you are correct, but the M10 can’t , so to be fair I kept them both at 30fps.

Unfortunately none of them have a separate jack for an external mic. It’s all about the built in mic.

The test was meant to be straight out of the box on auto. Maybe I’ll do a manual comparison some day.

The sx730 hs goes to 1080p and 60 frames if you put it in standard mode with a high quality memory card
