Thank you from Germany! This song reminds me always of the good times that I had with my ex-wife. It is so sad, that I'll never be able to listen to her singing russian songs anymore. I adored it and I still love her. So wherever you are my love, go your way. As an atheist I swear I'll pray everyday that at least your way will have an happy end. And I hope so much that this way will be ours one day again.

Stephan Spittaler right, but is it the same pitch as the film? I don’t know why but it sounds higher to me???? Maybe it’s just me lmao sorry for being a pest
It's okay and you are right. When I compare it to ua-cam.com/video/fxcLV58mbOY/v-deo.html then yes, then there definitely seems to be a difference, most probably in a higher pitch. In fact, I actually like to lower pitch version better
Stephan Spittaler right??? I compared it to the English version and to the Broadway version an again, it seems to be in a higher pitch. You don’t remember modifying it? Where did you get the audio? (The mystery of the pitch)

Whadyu mean? The English looks normal to me. It's kind of poetic, but it still makes clear sense to me... Also if you're comparing it to the official English version of the song, different languages change the wording but usually keep the same feeling (unless they're poorly translated or they don't understand the meaning of the song, which in this case it does not apply)
@@PersephoneDaSilva But it might not have the right syllable count and rhythm if they make it 100% accurate, or even too close to it. That's another reason other language versions are usually so different-- they have to improvise a lot.
Francesca Thats a good question indeed. I'm not a native speaker myself, but as the difference is really only made by intonation and I cannot clearly hear it to be a question, I simply anticipated it to be a statement.
Stephan Spittaler native Russian speaker here. Yes it depends on intonation. Usually when it’s written like that it is a question, but if said with the correct intonation, saying «Будешь ты» instead of «ты будешь» is used the same way as an emphasis - like “you WILL be with me in December.” Also if spoken the “correct” way, it wouldn’t match the cadence of the song.

The Cyrillic Script finally makes sense to me. Russian is a good language, as is Bulgarian. Serbian varies somewhat.
I think I prefer the English lyrics, but the Russian voice sounds more magical and wintry(?

It's interesting to hear the song in the language of the country a musical is set in. (Russian for Anastasia, French for Hunchback of Notre Dame ext)

Who sings it? It;s wonderful.
The Russian version is sung by Masha Katz (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masha_Katz)
Does no one notice that the English translation to the Russian version isn't the song that was sang in the Disney movie
