James Farrar thanks for watching. No problem when I first tried it I was like this is no easy so after I finally figured it out I made the video to help others as well.
Thank you for making this. The official video from HSGI is honestly worthless. They completely skip over showing the hardest part of the install, presumably because they would have made their product look like shit showing how much fussing and struggling these take to get properly secured.
Thank you for watching. This video is so old I thought no one watched it anymore. I hope it helped you when installing your HSG products. Before I made this video I couldn't find a good video.
Why's your string bushing on the opposite side of the pouch? There's an extra string threading on the side I'm supposed to thread the mounting clips and it's making it impossible to thread the clips through. Like, when you go to break the middle ones in at 3:16 I can't open them more than the tab closest to the bottom because the bottom one has an extra string run through it.
Man I am sorry I installed those pouches when this video was made... I literally just took everything out of the package and installed it like I showed in the vid. I didn’t modify anything. I’m guessing your mag pouches dont look like mine?
@@GReviewz They look like they're supposed to be the same, but there's that small difference. I managed to get them on with a butter knife and some pliers, but I had to figure out my own method.
@@GReviewz Yup. Only issue I'm having at this point is my rig wants to sag front all the time, but I think it's 'cause it's front-heavy. Probably gonna have to think of some stuff to put on the back.
Have you reviewed the HSGI 2xrp model which each Tacos have two AR mag pouch and a pistol mag pouch but you can put everything you want in the pistol mag pouch whether it be a multitool, pistol mag pouch, and etc.
Thanks for watching. Here is a link to the carrier. The grey I got is harder to get though. www.spartanarmorsystems.com/shellback-banshee-tactical-plate-carrier/
Thanks for watching. I believe they sell what you are looking for. They have so many different things it’s hard to tell. Here is the link to their pouches section... www.highspeedgear.com/pouches.html
Thanks for watching. I’ll let that question slide since I accept all questions. But the brand is right in the title. High speed gear... they are specifically called taco mags. They are awesome!
Question: If chuck Norris was installing this, would you still suggest pulling “as much as humanly possible” to get the buckles aligned, or might that break them? Asking for a friend.
Charles Tharp thanks for watching. Chuck Norris would never need body armor so not even a question. But if he did he would destroy the carrier. But a normal mortal would have no problem...
Thanks for watching. The brand is high speed gear. They are called taco mag pouches... here is the link to the mag pouch section on their site. www.highspeedgear.com/pouches.html
Thanks for watching. In theory you can mount them upside down. Retention on the tacos is strong however if you were to run or jump they are liable to fall out. I’d say mounting sideways toward your support hand would be better than upside down. However if something happens to your support hand it may be hard to grab them from the other side?
Does anyone know a way to keep the pouches toght to the vest? Mine keep wanting to lean away from the vest and stick out when i have it fully loaded i know its because of the weight but anyway to remedy it?
Thanks for watching. Yeah that is the problem with the mag punches they kind of lean forward some but Ive seen other products do it a lot more. I haven’t really found a perfect fix yet.
Thanks for watching...dangerous compared to what not wearing armor at all? I mean yes if a bullet hits a steel plate Spauling could come up and hit your face/neck yes but for the most park the plate carrier will help that. It’s always nice to have plates that are over rated for what you think will hit them.
@@GReviewz nah bro they can take more than that and when steel takes hits the spawl protection layer gets real damaged almost removed and theres basically no spawl protection at that point especially if it hits near the same spot twice
This attachment method is an abomination. I can't believe the Marine Corps is going with this garbage. All we needed was the pouch and then the old style back straps which work for the new laser cuts anyway.
@@GReviewz No arguments to how strong it is when put on but so was the prior system, and it was easier to put on. When your mission set changes, or you plain have to go to the range and switch pouch location on the fly this system is a step back unfortunately.
Only ever dealt with MOLLE gear, while similar, it's not like this. The red crayon approach was much needed and I appreciate it.
James Farrar thanks for watching. No problem when I first tried it I was like this is no easy so after I finally figured it out I made the video to help others as well.
I just bought my first plate carrier. Thanks for the help!
I’m glad I could help..
Great video. Right to the point, and it was a huge help in quickly putting the mag pouches on the skirmish belt. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks for watching. I am glad I could help.
Best instruction vid on these tacos. appreciate it.
Thank you. They can be a pain to install and mine did not come with any instructions. I hope the video helped you.

good camera work and visibility of everything for this demo!

use a butter knife rather than a screw driver. It works wonders!
Thank you. Great Idea
Outstanding suggestion. The wider surface works much better than the standard screwdriver. 🐢👍🇺🇸
This video was extremely helpful. Thank you!

great video. Thank you for taking the time to do that.
Thank you for watching. No problem I am glad you enjoyed it.
Really good instructions. Thank you!
Thank you for watching. I hope the video helped you.
MAN! That's a squeeze. LOL! I think MALICE clips have it over the HSGI when it comes to locking the tab's end.
I’m sure it is but once on these are SECURE
try doing this on a triple rifle mag one though, its tough
Yeah my mag pouches have not been removed since first installed because they are not easy.
do you have a link to more clips also do you have the link to the exact mag pouch your using?
Thanks for watching. The clips came with my mag pouch. Here is the link to the pouch setup I have.. www.highspeedgear.com/45dd00

Thanks for watching. No sir I have not done a review on those. I have seen them in person though. Do you have any specific question on them?
Can these be mounted so mags are laying sideways instead of up and down?
Thanks for they video, it was simple and very helpful!

Where did you get that plate carrier, it looks really nice

Thanks for this vid dude
No problem. Glad I could help!!
Thanks for the video helps out a lot. Question, how hard is it to uninstall them?
Thanks for watching. Ive never un installed them. But with how hard they are to install I left mine on..
I’m ordering mag pouches separately for a plate holder should all already have those little strips to attach them?
Thanks for watching. All the mag pouches I showed in the video all came with the install tabs. I hope that helps.
GReviewz yeah i just looked into it more thanks
No problem enjoy your mag pouches.

Is that Wolf Grey or MAS Grey?
Thanks for watching. The one in the video is wolf grey...
Never realized how secured those are.
Thanks for watching. Yeah once installed correctly they are on there very securely.
i dont understand why they make them just long enough, like would it be so hard to make it a tad bit longer to make it not so difficult???
Thanks for watching. I have no idea I wonder that myself!! All I know is that system works great and holds tight...
Where can I get these mag pouches? What is the actual name and brand
