There is actually a mod that adds Liu Hong unique political parties and mechanics for all factions if they reach emperor rank. It makes the late game interesting
I am still salty about the announcement. I was hoping we could actually get a real three kingdoms start date, around 220ish or whenever it really shot off. Feels to me like we got cheated.
I know this video is a little old, but a slight adjustment to your starting strategy. You can make both Ma Teng and Han Sui your vassal in round one with some cash and an ancillary or two depending on what spare ones you have. I also dash toward 10% replenishment first. Helps out He Jin’s army a ton.
image serious trivia running a business and going up to one of his worker and telling them "Your the manager now" wait 5 seconds later "ok your not the manager anymore" and then repeat that for the next person and the next one.
Funny enough, this is actually more difficult for me playing on the easiest difficulty (I'm bad at the game) because they don't lose satisfaction as quickly.
Having seen this has only further fuelled my urge to see you do a The Emperor Looks After His Friends challenge campaign where you cannot fire or deliberately get any eunuchs killed, and must favour them where practical for positions.
thanks for this, really helped set up the early game for success in a legendary campaign for the achievement. I remember reading something else that something you can do is declare war on the Zhang brothers early, before the mandate war starts since that apparently changes how they act and possibly gets your AI underling factions to start moving out towards them sooner, but I'm not sure if that's the right play or not. Still, with the extremely powerful start you get from being able to clean house on turns 1-2, and getting a water clock/garlic thing if you're lucky to help out with the imperial army, you've got enough power to go around to quickly sweep things up
yes the -10 penalty for satisfaction is actually going to help us more on legendary to get rid of the eunuchs! sort of like the major threat assessment for Dong Zhuo on legendary will make his coercion worth more in diplomacy!
I remember following this guide when it first came out. And it was very easy once you get your court in order. It makes the Yellow Turbanrebellion very easy as you can order all your vassals to pick them apart and before they get strong. Then you’re picking off rebellions. If anything it may have been too easy. 😅
Yeah. The Annex and Coordination makes it alot of fun. I played past the Mandate was and slowly absorbed the Empire while playing wack a mole with rebels. Very fun and very different than a lot of my playthroughs.
A little tip that’s a more general tip but really helps here is to buy food from the Han and feed your frontlines against the Yellow Turban. It allows them to much more quickly mobilize and I find (or imagined) it makes them more likely to follow orders.
when getting the eunch i think you can for soem reason trade military access though you're an empire, the people love it for some reason.. Also I think Lu Bu is sitting in somebody's faction, maybe this was luck or a bug but I managed to marry him to the empress
They should attach a plus 1000 satisfaction in the Eunuch trait to prevent Cheese but it won't be updated now, anyway I didn't think of getting rid of eunuchs by lowering satisfaction faction wide.
Great video like always even if i don't like to cheese the game like this. I remember Liu hong was way harder before when you didn't have passes and the new "rank" system where you can easly give a free -10 sat to anyone you want. I hope the new 3k2 or wtf they are working on is worth giving up this game.
I did exactly as you instructed, but yet my eunuchs didn't reach 0. Most of them were in their teens or single digits. Nobody left on the 2nd turn. I have the eunich equipped to the emperor, and followed this video to the tee. What can I do to fix this?
What would you do differently if you were playing in records mode? Because obvi you can't really just fight armies with your heroes ... would I have to risk the Imperial Army(If I wasn't able to find a garlic)?
I mean records mode wouldn’t make it too different. You would still fix your economy first then you would have plenty of cash to build a reasonable second army to help your imperial army fight and be fodder so the imperial army can dish out damage without taking too much in return and fight like that
The next let's play according to the polls is going to be Liu Bei (you can check the community page for the poll and any upload schedules). I plan on making it for a long time. There are still a lot of factions without guides and a lot of factions I haven't even played yet.
If Zhang Yan was playable in 182 how difficult and interesting his campaign would be? Independent? Allied with the Han? Affliated with the Yellow Turbans?
@@christiandauz3742 I mean that would be kind of interesting if the yellow turbans can actually do diplomacy with him…like he can improve relationship all he wants but it’s not going to amount to anything
So the key to being an effective emperor is getting everyone to despise you. To think that Yuan Shu had the right idea all along.

“I used the Eunuch to destroy the Eunuchs!” - Liu Hong
Fighting fire with fire
LOL Even in an Liu Hong guide, you gotta take shots at poor Kong Rong.
I personally love how the description for max dynasty support is that your support has reached a harmonious level.

So the eunuchs hate the emperor personal eunuch and leave. Nice

It's so silly that this works, imagine if Emperor Ling actually could have frustrated the eunuchs so much that they just all abandoned him.
It seems being on legendary helps you more with the added negative satisfaction going around.

@@SeriousTrivia a well balanced game... 🤣

To gain a better dueling weapon, He Jin can take Liu Hong’s Heavenly Sword to drop satisfaction
I LOVE how you have Chinese voice overs and English subtitles

I have to say though that none of the mechanics used where exploits, so I really don't think this one should be considered a cheese...

Goosh, poor Kong Rong. Why the hate XD
When I saw his playstyle I went back to Cao Cao XD
looking forward to the three brothers
So much cheese. I love it.
Managing This court is a big headache only the diligent one can understand that, it is like studying to be government official
Yuan Shao and Kong Rong never left in my game. Very weird.
Kong always leave me but never Yuan, I think its about what race (han/yellow) controls their cities
Nice video always love watching these by the way what year and clan do you enjoy having a full play though
A bunch of them actually no real favorites
Ok I get it how bout a recommended faction one you think doesn't get played alot but is fun
@@rudyg200887 I think both Sun Ce and Lu Bu have really fun quest oriented campaigns.
@@SeriousTrivia yea I want to play lu bu again now with the new faction Council and rank system
Sadly the garlic gives only +5% replenishment (T_T)

Are you playing on legendary difficulty? Because satisfaction debuff is actually higher on higher difficulties and thus easier to fire

now I'm curious if you can continue the campaign as the emperor after the mandate war and what would happen in year 190
Your vassals will eventually turn on you and you´ll have to wipe them out.
i did 4 run as a liu hong and still did not got the item in any run
does not spawn on any faction as well i think they remove it on turn 1
you are just unlucky. Look at the date on this video, CA has stopped updating the game so there has been no change thus just keep trying
Who are you going to play next in three kingdoms
Also how long do you plan to keep making three kingdom videos

How do I find the community page
Go to my channel’s main page on UA-cam and you should see a bunch of pages like video, playlist, community, about etc
Can I ask...are you Zhuge Liang's student?
I couldnt make He Jin army get positive replenishment. Garlic provide only 5%
I had positive 1% without garlic....are you in a low population commandery?
One of the best ways hands down is to get a vanguard with the conscription skill and use the assignment for 10% replenishment boost
keeping one of the eunuchs with the replenishment factionwide bonus is also an option
Yeah I am in low population, thanks for your tips
it always sounds like you're saying Burnt officer instead of Brilliant
are u using any mods?
Nope all early game guides are shown without any mods
