- Not long after I bought the Mini Liplay, I returned it due to some shortcomings. What I replaced it with was the Fuji Instax Mini Link. In this video I give the 5 reasons why I chose the Mini Link over the Liplay

I am a one phone person. So I dont mind hahah.
And I dont mind editing the photos out of the app.
Thanks for the video! Was contemplating between the two, but the fact that I can only pair with one device on the Liplay is a deal breaker for me.
No worries, thanks for watching :) yeah, that was a very odd thing about the Liplay that I didn’t fully understand - if I had to guess, it might be something to do with the remote shooting functionality. Let me know which colour you end up getting!

hi :) I have the doubt between buying one of those two or the hp sprocket. My idea is to have the photos on a board or something like that and not in an album. Which of the 3 do you recommend? I really dont care so much about how many devices I can have connected or if I can edit from the app with filters and such things. What impression is more faithful to the initial image?

Hello :) I have a video comparing the HP sprocket and the Instax SP-2, which uses instax like the LiPlay and the Link. I find that if you’re not printing images of people and faces, then the HP Sprocket is more faithful to the initial image. However, the prints from the sprocket are on sticker paper, and tends to curl up after printing, so they won’t do so well on a board, unless you stick them on some cardboard first. Instax has more limited dynamic range, but the print has a cardboard border so stands up well to being put on a board. Good luck with your search!
Isn't the purpose of the Mini Liplay to instantly print photos as apposed to the Mini Link which first you have to take the photo on your phone, then choose filter (if you want), then hope that you are paired with the Link, then print the photo. It kind of takes away the reason for instant pics. I guess both would have their pros and cons.
Yep, that’s why I got the Liplay. But I was so disappointed with the images that it far outweighed the benefit of it being more instant.

Hello, thanks for watching and posting a comment; the good news is that the Liplay and the Link are essentially identical as the difference I am seeing is very slight (with the Liplay image being a little more detailed I’d say), that the difference might even be down to the film vs the printers themselves. Definitely not as noticeable as the difference between the SP-2 and the Link.

Awesome review! I purchased this two days ago from Amazon ! Would you happen to know how to transfer photos you took from the Liplay onto a micro sd card - or send images to your smartphone ? I haven't seen a video on that yet! Thank You :) !
Hi Elizabeth, I don't have the Liplay anymore, but I remember there being instructions about copying pictures to a micro SD, but I don't think you can move the images to a smart phone
So minilink has the longer battery life span compared to liplay.
They technically have the same battery life in terms of prints (100 per charge) but because of the screen being on everytime you use the liplay, I'm expecting that there is more potential battery drain there

It has those features now because of updates to the app, but early on the app was very basic and did not have these features (video was made in 2019). He did not share any misinformation, everything he said was accurate for the time.
@@22thomas1 yes, but he should've update the latest version of mini lil play especially to those who don't really up to date about the first feature of mini lil play.

They are the same - I think any difference would be down to manufacturing tolerances

Mini Link for sure - the pictures you can take with your phone will be far better than any photo you could take from the LiPlay. Thanks for watching :)

I didn’t ever have the two devices together, so I couldn’t tell you - I’d say there were roughly the same. The Liplay was a very mediocre camera, so for less money, I could basically get the Liplay without the camera part.
I have the liplay, maybe the camera its not the best, but if you put a SD card, you cant send those photos to your computer... and they look pretty "ok" on my computer screen

If u want to print from liplay from ur phone.. why do u want photo editing in liplay app.. just edit in phone and just print..
