You may Cross check Usage current and Neutral current in Electronic meters.neutral current should be equal to usage current. You should check Local house wiring if neutral current exceed the usage current value. Especially in multiple houses in a campus

Yes, exactly this is what happened to us last month for us actual usage gone beyond 500 so due to slab rate current bill increased from normal range 600rs to 2200rs on that month. This is understood

Nama ku thana loss 4 months ku namma 900unit use panrom na like 450 for 2 months + 450unit next 2 months i will pay price for the slab rate that under 500 (1475+ 1475 = 2950). but avunga 300(675rs) first two months and next 600(2750 ) in next month i.e 675+2750=3425. We have to pay extra 500 for their mistake...i will watch unit reading during bill but how others will know about this???

There are other chances: There might be faulty equipment. Or might be some ground leak. Better bring a good electrician and do check all equipment one by one and see the reading to figure the faulty equipment and also power leak.
