So many provocative songs from these solo albums of Syd after his departure from the band, this one stands out. Love his artistry.

Absolutely agree!!! This song is fucking empowering... gives a vision of like a group of extremely intimate friends who have similar passions as each other, who lost each other in life... and then out of the blue... HOWLING THE PACK IN FORMATION APPEARS!

This song is like the essence of what pink Floyd could have been but never grasped, opting for singing about Syd’s alleged madness instead. It’s too bad that they could not see what we all could.

This is one of the Greatest Things That I have ever heard on earth. Its the only Syd song that ACTUALLY made sense.

    • @johnhouse9983

The lyrics are about the peaking effect of lsd, this is his recantation of what he saw.

    • @augustuscaesar7846
      @augustuscaesar7846 6 років тому +8

Absolutely. & @ lSd well BOUGHT spent. Sid Sacrificed himself TO KNOW. HE WAS JUST DRIVEN ALL THE WAY FIRST NATURALLY & ONCE AWARE OF THE EFFECTS. SID WEMT FRONT SEAT AT A CLOSER LOOK AT CREATION. & HE GOT IT RECORDED JUST FOR US TO GET ONE OF THE BEST DESCRIPTION. ...
I STARTED LISTENING TO SID 2 YEAR$ & IM convinced this is the greatest record ever recorded expressing music & words. It's a total masterpiece of art. no songwriter has topped what he's actually putting down sense. M.j prince. Bowie. Smokey. Marvin. Burt baqrawue, Beethoven or Mozart.
      Y?
BECAUSE SID PUT IT IN THE CLEAREST WORD FORM POSSIBLE POETICALLY. I CAN HEAR MEATAPHORS, SCIENCE, PARABLES,PATHOS, THE POETRY.
A STORY. HE CAPTURES THE RHYTHM OF CREATION , HE PAINTS A PERFECT PICTURE OF ALL EXISTENCE.
HE WAS FULL MODE ART. HE SPOKE AS TO ART EXISTENCE.his 3eye isnt just open. But it's open with the mind peel back. He not just looking at the Wheel ,he's got a front, 2nd behin& 3,rd,at a side angle4thright angle& 5th undeer 6throwseat.......
I was just about ro write about this song elsewherr before I saw your comment.
Because I was wondering sense 2016. Does anyone realize what going on here & what's he's talking about.
Why DON'T OTHER artist or people TALK about this record. Only means they should. Because this has to be the greatest subject, idea inspired thing to touch on. EXISTENCE & CREATION ITSELF So I was JUST ABOUT TO WRITE WHAT IM TYPING NOW SOMEWHERELSE BUT THE BEST PLACE IS RIGHT HERE WITH THE SONG.
BECAUSE TO HEAR THIS SONG & NOT BE woowed means you don't get it or understand.
Crazy diamond. Reach for the truth to soon.
(Syds eyes was milk white with a purple sand twister in it as he sat on those bear wood floors moving around & around like a spintip looking up witn his eyes moving like a globe combass)
We're FORTUNATE. To have this record. As to have it captured.
THE experience...shine on SYD. HE PROBABLY SHOT INTO THE END OF INFINITY WHEN HE DIED. HE WAS THE AARROW ON THE BOW DRAWN BACK , BUT WHEN HE LEFT THAT BODY, HE WAS THE TIP POONT OF THE ARROW SHOT OFF.
      AMEN

    (lyrics)
Howling the pack in formation appears
Diamonds and clubs, light misted fog, the dead
    Waving us back in formation,
    The pack in formation
Bowling they bat as a group
And the leader is seen so early
The pack on their backs, the fighters
Through misty the waving the pack in formation
    Far reaching waves
    On sight, shone right
I lay as if in surround
    All enmeshing, hovering
    The milder I gaze
    All the animals laying trail
    Beyond the bough winds
    Mild the reflecting electricity eyes
Tears, the life that was ours
Grows sharper and stronger away and beyond
    Short wheeling fresh spring
    Gripped with blanched bones moaned
    Magnesium, proverbs and sobs
Howling the pack in formation appears
Diamonds and clubs, light misted fog, the dead
    Waving us back in formation,
    The pack in formation.
