- Today's location: Buckeye, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix, AZ in the West Valley! I take a driving tour around the Verrado Community in Buckeye, and do a tour through some neighborhoods. Buckeye is currently listed as one of the safest cities in Arizona.
Check out part 2 of my visit to Buckeye, AZ (where I visit historic Buckeye) here: • Buckeye, Arizona: Hist...

I‘m so proud to be a Buckeye residence! great content btw
Hey thanks for the drive thru.
I would have liked to see more of the downtown. Your tour missed the shops and restaurants.
Also, I would have like to see your take of the Victory community and their massive club house. The distance from Phoenix is the drawback as I see it too. Again thanks.
WOW! i live in Phoenix and have not been to Buckeye in about 10 years. What a huge HUGE difference from the last time i was there. it's a real nice place now with tons of buildings, homes and life. thanks for the video!!
I spent summers with my grandparents in Buckeye in the 1980's. I don't remember a "town" really at all. Grandma drove to phoenix to do her shopping. I am hoping to move to Buckeye soon. I love the heat & Trader Joes is only in Surprise so I can handle that.
Hear the area is really developing
There are 4 schools in Verrado. Verrado High School, Verrado Middle School, Verrado Elementary School, and Verrado Heritage School which is currently K-8.
No condos in Verrado. Those were the Row Homes. Also, prices in Verrado are higher than the rest of Buckeye. To find homes below $200K you have to go further west. Tartesso has homes from below $200K.
Omg I remember this place so much I used to live there and went to the elementary school.
Looks like I will be transferring here for work in September.
I live in Montana. It is -11 degrees right now. I want to move here soooooo bad! I'm going to go and cry in my closet now.
Lol. I feel your pain. Hope you can get out of the cold one day. Thanks for watching!
Let's trade. I live in Mesa, AZ and want to move somewhere COLD.
Hey, Tawni! I'm in Billings and my wife and I looking to move to AZ too! Haha I am over the cold here!
Prices in Arizona (houses ) look awesome .. but that heat though 😒
I live in Verrado.
Hay Hay same
Same here I love it out here !
Same it’s a great place!
Buckeye looks pretty
Do a Surprise tour
Hey, thanks for the video! I always am curious as to how the Phoenix Metro Area will grow in the coming future, your videos make it more interesting for me! I was curious as to what does the job market for Urban/Regional/Land Use Planners look like in the Phoenix Metro Area with City of Phoenix and it's surround suburbs like Chandler, GIlbert, Mesa, Tempe, etc.?
I really am not aware of what’s going on in that particular area of the job market. Wish I could be of more help.
Thanks for the awesome video! I had no idea they were wanting to do that out there. I was in Glendale area before, and it was SO busy, too busy in fact. It had everything you needed, but it was just exhausting being in traffic just to go to Jimmy Johns down the road, especially in 110 heat. I never headed out past Surprise though. Very pretty out there according to your video. Love all the trees.
Have you ever been out to Tucson? I've heard if you love Phx, you'll not like it there, and vice-versa? Weird question: Why do you have those towels on your upper dash? Is that to protect it from the sun? Just curious to see if that's something I never learned while down there.
I haven't gone to Tucson yet. I do plan on making a visit at some point. I have heard some of the negativity regarding what you said, but I'm not sure how true it is.
As far as the dash, it was nice and shiny from a cleaning. The glare from the sun was terrible that day, as the shiny dash was reflecting in the windshield. I couldn't see very well and the video was going to be hard to see as well. As an emergency measure, I got some mats from the back and put them on the dash to lesson the glare. lol I've since ordered a "carpet" for the dash and it's made a major difference. It also of course protects it from the sun.
If u love walking, its really nice in verrado
Thanks for the review, have any info on the 11 fwy that they will be making there and any communities off the 202 expansion that's suppose to be done by next year? thank you
I-11 will run through Buckeye when it is complete and the interstate will run from Canada to Mexico through Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon & Washington. It does coincide with Buckeye’s goal to become a technological hub for the west valley. That should help Glendale, Goodyear, Peoria, Avondale. 202 should help Laveen, Tolleson, Avondale and Ahwatukee. Property values for both expansions should go up.
In your travels could you visit more new housing developments? thx

i live in buckeye
Between Los Angeles & Phoenix which city stays warmer during the winter?
There's not much difference in temps, though LA temps are a little warmer at night. However Cali has the coastal winds that may make it feel colder. I can't give a definite answer as I've not spent a winter in LA personally to compare.
Thank you
Phoenix is. The average temp is 67°.
I grew up in SoCal. Days generally considerably warmer in Phoenix most years.
You think the distance from Buckeye is long do a thing on Maricopa. That's way out.
My son lives there...
Hi,do you have a autism school in buckey. ...
I'm not aware of one, but my knowledge of that is limited so you may want to check with the Buckeye School District.
@@LivinOurDreamz thanks.
"Nice vibe"?...I live in Verrado... It's top notch! You didn't even come close to describing Verrado....
lol, I'm surprised how snobby people in Verrado can get still... Yes it's nice but it's still the west valley so calm down.
@@matthewpresley8060 calm down? It's the West valley? Wow
@@simovida4591 Yes. It's not Mesa, Chandler, Tempe or Gilbert and certainly not Scottsdale.
Did you know Buckeye is the 5th fastest growing city in the entire country. Also, the population is estimate to be 74k.
I’ve heard about how fast it’s growing with huge growth projected in the future.
in a month it will be 74k plus 1 and 1 greyhound
My friend lived there and hated it ..very expensive and the home owners were a whls
It's not expensive actually. Lower cost to get a 3 bed house compared to the median price in the valley for sure
It is a shame the valley has the "keeping up with the jones" attitude, but that's what most places have become. Here is a statistic for you that has been the same since the 80's, for every 5 people that move in 3 move out, thanks to it being a right to work state. Sorry to be such a downer but it's the truth.
No place is perfect for sure. Everybody has to weigh the good with the bad and see if a particular place is right for them.
george bush state your source. Phoenix ranked second for population growth. It has nothing to do with right to work. Texas is right to work and has had a lot of growth.
