Some good tips there, I’m doing my s type brakes soon and was looking for any intricacies on the electric hand brake, now I know how to release it and reset the message on the dash, there’s a few people criticising some things but nobody knows everything 🤷, I was a panel beater for 26 years and never stopped learning, still learning on UA-cam, good job👍
And what a magnificent job of butchering the caliper piston dust boot. All you needed to do was pull it away from the piston a little, and drop a squirt of penetrating oil inside the boot. My word…..
What a rookie. Clamp the pin in the vice and twist the caliper bracket by hand. None of that stupid, useless ‘chopping’ away with a screwdriver as a chisel, and wrecking the mounting face in the process. I’d hate to see how you remove an overtightened oil filter or a cv joint with a seized hub spline. 😡
@ Sorry to disappoint you, but I live 2 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Town, South Africa. Rust is our middle name in this part of the world. And I’ve been an automotive technician for almost 4 decades…
