X's share the fords parts bins with some Volvo bits here and there on the facelifts, Mine's an early 2005 2.2D with all the options fitted, being one of the very first press cars and a dealer demonstrator, It has voice bluetooth, parking sensors Xeon headlights 6 cd, cruise, heated front screen and 1/2 leather alcantara, not forgetting the ski hatch you mentioned in the rear armrest . They are such an underrated car, especially by other model jag owners, and almost shunned but they are such a fun car to drive and never fails to put a smile on my face. Had mine mapped and never regretted it. I can do from the Midlands to Scotland and back on a tank and still have enough left when I get back not to worry about fuel even though I don't hang about. They are just a perfect balance and a true baby jag. btw speaking to the X's designer at Gaydon the dash shape is based on the wing of a spitfire 😃
No It's A JAAAAG! just fixed my Wheel Bearing on my 2005 3ltr today and the hub strut housing Said Jaguarrrrrrrr 👍ABS Fault also drilled out ball joint rivets fitted bolted one again so no more sub frame crap!
I love my x type, so underated,a great looking car and so reliable.
Annoyed at the bad press theses cars get.

It is actually real wood. Alu base wood veneer layer and then a heavy hardened polymer clear on top.
Sad that people still talk about it 14 years after they stopped making it ! 🤦♂️
