Never heard of "Hoppin John" it's a must to try.
Me being white and from the south moved to west Texas where it's pretty much just Mexican culture, bagged a Mexican girl. I made a rendition of this that we've had in the family for some time now. Once every new years normally. Needless to say, I make this often now, they will not ever get tired of it.
"Listen to my voice! Things change when you know you did something right! " love it! Can't wait to cook this dish 😋 💘
I didn't know about hoppin John's, but now I do, and I'm so glad I clicked on this video. 🤤🤤🤤

Love you AB. My husband has been wanting me to make him some Hoppin' John. I'm a southern girl and have NEVER made this. It looks so good. Your recipe is so simple to make and follow. I love to hear you explain it all.
My husband is going to be a happy man.

Good morning everyone, greetings from Baltimore. That's how I've done my beans for over 20 years cause I didn't use to eat them, but I do now
I know about Hoppin John! It's a must have for New Years to bring good luck to the home. I've known this forever thanks to my mom.
Morning you always tell me something Good.
But I've never remembered my mother fixing this dish Hopping John.
But I have to go back and watch the video again. So when I do mine I know it's done right and a memory of it will awake from one of the family members that cooked many of dishes at the farm.
Love Love Love🎉 Best recipes! ❤️
Grandma used to make Hopin' John, I was excited to see this. Red bell peppers are a must! It is not Hopin' John without them.
AB, you never let us down. I can't wait to make that. 😋
Let me know what you think afterwards 🤤
Crispy bits on the bottom of the pot is called "fond". It adds so much flavour to the dish, no matter what you are cooking.
Everything with bacon taste delicious!👍😊❤️
