I had to stop by and see this. I am 69 years old and was born and raised in Louisiana and still live in Louisiana and have never, never heard of collard greens gumbo. Here's a tip for the stems: Take the stems and juice them, then add the juice back to the greens which will add a stronger taste to the dish.

I am thinking the same thing after watching this video “ Where is my cornbread?” The Collard Greens Gumbo looked so good I could smell the flavors coming through UA-cam! I am doing this one next Sunday! Thanks AB!
Bruh! That ain’t right...I just put on my pot of collards THEN I saw this! . I think I’m going to have to bless somebody with my pot so I can do these 😂

The Gumbo Style Collard Greens look so good and tasty, great job. I know what I’m having this year for the holidays, the greens. I love trying new recipes, I know these greens are good!
WOW! That pot of greens is everything! The look on your face was priceless when you tasted them. I’m definitely going to try this recipe. I cut my collards exactly the same way as taught to me by my mother and grandmother. To speed up the process, I put about 3 leaves on top of each other, then cut along side the stem on both sides and then cross wise at the top of the stem and discard.
I've already made my Collard greens mixed with cabbage for Thanksgiving BUT, Christmas is coming! I'm going to make these Collard greens for Christmas!
Bruh , I just stumbled upon you on UA-cam and I got so much love for ya !!! The game you kick, the simplicity, and your real ness got me so hooked on learning these new techniques!!! Feeling you bro from the city of brotherly love!!! Peace!!!!✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿
For myself, I eat everything. When I'm cooking for my husband, I just rip the leaf away from the stem by holding the stem with my thumb and index finger, then lightly slide, with the other index and thumb, down the stem pulling the green off the stem. Like you'd do removing the leaves from a rosemary stem. It's super fast and you can move through 3lbs of greens in about 5 or so minutes. Thank you for your awesome video and I can't wait to give this an honest coonass try. Yum!
