    Written and produced by Harry Nilsson, Daybreak is a lost classic surely ranks up there as one of the great singles from the 70's.
    This rare promotional video is directed by Micky and features a guest cameo from Harry Nilsson himself. It has been lovingly restored by film archivist Robert Reinstein, many thanks Robert!
    Micky Dolenz - The MGM singles Collection is a limited edition vinyl release on the 7a Records label. It comes in a beautiful gatefold sleeve and has a 12 page booklet that has over a dozen previously unseen pics from the legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz.

      I agree, they were young and thought they were invincible. Thankfully no one ever got seriously hurt on the show or otherwise. And Davy rode those 1200 lb. Thoroughbreds, and controlled them very well. That's saying something!

    The song was written by Nilsson and on one of his albums. Maybe the great "Son Of Schmillsson" or the "Point" which Micky and Davy were performing on stage for a bit. Thanks for sharing this song. I read that these songs existed but for some reason unavailable.

    Harry Nilsson wrote this song, and it was included on the album and movie of the 1974 version of SON OF DRACULA. At the same time, Nilsson produced this single of the song with Micky. I think this version with Micky singing is the better of the two versions, but with Micky being signed to MGM, it probably made that impossible to put on the soundtrack album.

      Yeah Harry's own version is waaaaay better
