This is series of drills and workout series to work on your balance for hockey. This is good training to include before your hockey workout or hockey training program.
One legged squats (10 each leg)
One legged squats touch side (10 each leg)
Supermans (5 sets of 10 seconds each leg)
This is really great to practice while wearing your skates! It can be applied just as wonderfully for figure skaters as hockey players in my opinion, seeing as I've improved so much on ice from this alone!
True! Thanks for watching.
The single-leg squat was hell on my knee.
sit back over then shin...in the video hes wayyyyy over the font foot putting alot of pressure on the knee. Not a good way of doing it, could blow your knee out easily.
Thanks for the knowledge brother! Hope all the success is coming you way
Appreciate that!
hello 247 hockey , these drills are great ! I tried it and its great ! have got more balance drills ? i want to do differents drills on different days ! thanks
great drills, going to try them out tomorrow!
I just did all these today, and did the supermans on that nice bosu ball behind you. It really really helps build both stability and strength. I noticed that i could go up stairs 2 or 3 steps at a time with a lot more strength in the hip/leg. Nice!
Right on. Let us know how it goes!
Great vids and tips! thanks mate!
You bet, thanks for watching! Checkout our channel for all the videos. Got a ton of stuff you can learn from.
thanks
These can work for another sport as your hockey videos is great balance and coordination conditioning
Does it make sense to do this exercises in ice skates - to get a better feeling for the skates? - I just started ice skating, but I have a few problems with balancing in the skates!
That can't hurt! It's good to change it up.
If you don't have easy ice, this works on rollerblades. Can be a little exciting at times!
Would it be a good idea to do this while stickhandling?
what is the purpose dumbbell in this video?
I was afraid that he'll tumble and faceplant it, thank God he didn't
Why do you not have a single video on ice? Can you not skate?
Shoot The Shit hahaha!!
I think it’s because about becoming a better hockey player while off the ice, something he is very qualified to speak about.
