This is what the Apple Vision Pro shouldve been but obviously just with the "apple touch" to it. I get that the amount of sensors in the actual AVP probably wouldnt fit on this device, but I still dont know how comfortable a lot of people will be with having to do a full face device for long periods of time. Im very intrigued by the AVP but my face gets hot rather quickly with any VR headset. Something with this form factor seems to be a lot more reasonable. And portable!
@regularguy8547you being broke has nothing to do with the state of the technology. Everything is tiny, everything is complex, rnd is a thing, that all costs money.
A small battery added to the side of the frame would be nice for those situations when something snags and disconnects the USB-C cable, you get a few like 5 minutes to find and reconnect it without interrupting whats going on the screen, if it's connected wirelessly to another device.
The glasses themselves aren't wireless and therefore this suggestion cannot work. The glasses are essentially just a monitor and that's it. If you disconnect your regular monitor from HDMI/DisplayPort and power, but it's on batteries, you still wouldn't see a signal, because the video signal cable is not tethered anymore.
@@mortenmoulder I get your point of view however my suggestion was based on when the station is used for wireless casting, like from 7:03 onwards. To avoid having to carry the bulky station around or always draining the smartphone battery a more advanced version of these could have a miniature motherboard to handle wireless casting on one side of the frame and on the other side a small light battery to mitigate against unexpected cable snags. That way the cable is left just for power supply, which can be convenient in cars, planes etc. which have always powered up ports available.

I got a Rokid Max and I really love using it. Almost 5 hours a day. Rokid Max can display 1920x1200@120Hz out of the box or 1920x1080@144Hz with a custom resolution setting, which is great for gaming. 1920x1200 provides even greater FoV since it is taller than 1920x1080. So you can choose between greater FoV or greater refresh rate. I 've ever bought Xreal Air but finally returned it because Xreal Air has a smaller FoV than Rokid Max. Xreal Air also has bugs in the firmware which produces oversaturated colors and banding artifacts. Xreal Air also lacks dioptre adjustment, but this may not matter if you do not need it.
