39 - Elevator Shunt Trip - Introduction to Fire Alarms

In this video I show the most common way I've seen elevator shunt trip setup and wired. I explain the concept behind elevator shunt trip and then explain how it's accomplished using both an addressable, programmable relay and a conventional, high-current relay. This video flows into the next one, which gets into how the elevator shunt power circuit is supervised by the fire alarm control panel.
