    Thanks for producing this content, it is helpful and entertaining. I love seeing these trucks being put back on the road. I've been working on my 71 F250 and love driving it. I have been sourcing/stockpiling parts for the last 2 years to install and get it to a daily driver point. So now, the parts cannon is loaded and am hoping to have the barn cleaned out by Jan to be able pull mine inside and blow it apart. New wiring harness, rally pac, adjust some 2wd body issues to a 4wd config, and lots of other goodies to install.
    I ordered the 2' Skyjacker suspension for mine as most of the springs are in bad shape. I could have them re-worked, but wanted the extra height as I have a new set of US 101's (they are 5 slot mag /reproductions/knockoffs but in a 17 ) to install. I like that look but didn't want the headache of sourcing 16.5 tires. I ordered my suspension about 2 yrs ago and had the same issue, took mine about 3 months to actually arrive.
    Merry Christmas Matt, thanks again.

    On the power steering,
    I did a 2007 F350 super duty power steering box. It worked well on my 78 Supercab with the 12 valve Cummins and Super Duty axles. With the cross over steering it would work I think. It really fit in nice, low on the frame and right in line with the axle. I have a video here on You Tube building the plate and getting it all in line. I think it has how far you come back to fit everything as well. It is kinda low and away from the motor. The Godzilla needs room to fit the fire breathing beast!

    You are building my dream truck my friend. Had a new 77 hi boy in 78 but hard times hit and had to let it go. Been my dream to find another in decent condition or build one but I am 65 now and running out of time. Best of luck with yours!

    This was a cool video. I always wanted to try and do this. In my area you can find really nice 2wds but a lot of the 4wds are worked hard. Great video Matt! Your videos are always so helpful. Thanks, Matt!

    Well it’s after the fact but I’ve seen guys use a semi truck rear axle shim trimmed to fit in the space on the front cross member. It seemed to work perfectly .
    Great video, very informative. Thank you.

    Hey Matt, just want to thank you and other LEGIT old truck enthusiast and builders keeping all these classic old trucks legit and pure and or period correct to the era they come from. Where did you get those 17x8 steel wheels on your previous build

    I love watching these videos, its awesome that these trucks are being put back on the road! I have a quick question, its not really related to 4x4. I have a 1968 f100, it has drums front and rear, I want to do a disc brake conversion for the front, what would be the best way to do the conversion?

    • @MattKubik1791
      @MattKubik1791  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! I would get a disk brake conversion kit, I think there are several out there. I’ve never personally done it.

    Can you go over adding the uniben to the Dana 60 is there a kit available for. And do you sell the trucks when you're done with them or you keep, I've been looking for a while for crewcab

    Hey Matt how did you determine the rear shackle location in the frame for the bushing? Did you measure off a highboy or use calculations?
    If it was measurements would you mind sharing reference points and numbers?
    Love the channel!

    • @MattKubik1791
      @MattKubik1791  7 місяців тому +1

      I measured off a highboy going off the front mount. It was 53.5” front the bolt to the center of the hole on the rear mount. And measuring off other reference points on the frame to check my measurements.

    Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t a 67 a pain in the ass because the cab and doors don’t line up with everything that’s 68-72 ? Even though same body lines?

    • @MattKubik1791
      @MattKubik1791  7 місяців тому +1

      I have not experienced that on a 67 or 68-72. 67 are more of a pain because they have so many one year only parts it’s sometimes hard to find replacements in good condition.

    • @fomocoloco7172
      @fomocoloco7172 7 місяців тому

      The doors are different but a 67 door will fit in any bumpside. And the cabs are the same there just small interior parts like the heat controls and rear view mirror bracket that are different

      @@MattKubik1791 if you slap a 67 door on any other year cab you will end up with a gab in the front top corner
