We're all growing old.. yet you still look as pretty as the 80's or prettier perhaps.. I really love your voice... I love you so much deep down in my heart... Gbu darling Debbie...always...
I seeing you sing this song, I think that the people should stop and hear more and more yourself, and feel to emotion that you felt. Your emotion was my emotion. Thank you so much.
That song always makes me think of my late grandma, as she was a huge Anne Murray fan - I think you made both my grandma and Anne proud with your cover Debbie!
I love this!! I just listened to an Anne Murray album the other day and this song was stuck in my head. ..I can't believe you covered it! amazing Debbie as always! ❤❤
Deborah, I'm in floods :'( ... I might have to rethink "Goodbye" as being the song I want played at my funeral. This is BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you so much for posting this xx
To the fool that keeps thumbing down Debbie.. just stop. She has a voice of an angel and if you don't like it then don't watch her videos! Debbie please keep singing for us! :)
I'm holding out in hope that she returns to the way she "used" to sing. Before Broadway got a hold of her she really did have the voice of an angel and that was the voice I fell in love with. I honestly thought she was on the road back with that cover of simply the best. In my personal opinion had she covered this song "before" she went to broadway, it would have gone straight into the charts at number one as her voice and it's "gentle" vibrato would have performed the song a hundred times better than Anne Murray ever could have. If Deborah ever does go back to her old style of singing then this song would be the one to catapult her career right back into the stratovaiusphere with everyone falling in love with her all over again.
+Lee Sanderson +frankie4you2013 Well, her voice changed with her age too. I think she has a good voice as a 45-year-old. I know, it's really different, but her type of young voice will not come back. I personally think 90s were the best era of her voice, at least my favourite. She did great on Broadway too, for example as Sandy (an angel's voice in my opinion!). It started to change around 2000, with her MYOB album. Sometimes it sounds like a completely different person but she still sounds beautiful and strong :) Ofc not as great as in the 90s and earlier... But it won't come back, it's changed permamently
***** You're absolutely right Jo. Those days are long gone. I think if the music of today and it's future wasn't so shit, most of us wouldn't have to live in the past. I suppose I was lucky to have been born in the 70's as I was old enough to appreciate the music of the 80's and 90's and still benefit from the mid 50's, 60's and 70's music that was still kicking around.
I was "unlucky" to be born in 98 :D Yeah, mostly today's music is shit, but Deborah is still good. But it's kinda sad I won't have the opportunity to hear her young voice. Anyway, i dream of meeting her someday cause she's one of my fave singers ever
Love is new when you find its like life is new and wanna share your life with person each passing day with love a new when he's all ur dreams coming true

Beautiful! Anne Murray has a particular concern with singers bending notes and sliding up and down notes; she has spoken about that more than once. The truth is that so many singers cannot sing a song straight; they cannot sustain the notes. On the other hand, many of the great popular singers have always added jazz inflections to their performances. I think Ann would love this version for its purity.

I have been in love with Debbie Gibson since... oh, 1989. And because I am so defective she will never know.

❤I DO

I sure do,
Debbie, does a cover of Sinead O'Connor
I still do, listening to you, is all I have for sanity sake, it will pass, don't mean to be bother,
Kinda opposite from forever girl
and she's back to the vocal vibrato being in excessive overdrive again. She really needs to calm it down a bit.
listen with proper speakers
frankie4you2013 You know nothing Frankie. Not even how to get a job and work. Hahaha.....you suck baby.
Maybe i's my weird preference but i love that strong vibrato she uses
love you since 1990 up to now!! Great!!
