Aside from the code was there any indication that this part need to be changed? I'm waiting on a new EGR valve. Wondering if it's failure would cause other issues such as this.
Hey man i wanted to ask i did an oil change on my 96 impala SS and i didnt have a funnel so i winged it i dropped a bit of oil on my manifolds and i believe in between and its smoking . I grabbed some degreaser and tryed to clean as much of the top off as i can and its still smoking any ideas on how to fix te issue?
My 9c1 is burning the hose that goes to that valve. It literally will heat it up so much that the hose will crack. Will be changing that valve. Might do the trick. I have no check engine light on though.

David Gurrola I changed those because the car was running hot and there was nothing else that could’ve been the reason. Still the hose was being burned. Another thing that I’ve heard could be the problem is the optispark. I’m going to change everything. Thank you for your input. Really appreciate it. Car is still parked. One of these days.

My 95 ss when I put my car In reverse it shuts off/stalls out any idea what the cause is or we’re to start. It only happens in reverse

It should just be the oil burning off of the manifolds
🤣. I learned my lesson the same way.
A water bottle is a good funnel just cut the back side off. And wipe it clean.

Might be youre catalytic converter...maybe ive heard wen cats are clog makes it very hot. Maybe. Lol
