Hello sir! I'm from Austria and have completely converted my scooter Xiaomi 1S (see my last short) and yesterday I bought very expensive Nutt brakes in the scooter shop for €175! But because I removed the oil hoses for the front and rear of all 2 brakes so that I could put the oil hoses in the holes in the scooter and lay them nicely, a little oil came out of the front and rear brakes! I have to bleed the brakes now! I saw your great video 👍 and did the same thing with the rear brake as in your video. Problem: the rear brake pads which I bled just like in your video, when I press the brake levers the brake pads come together but they don't go all the way back to their original position! 🤔 But just like in the video, I pressed the brake lever a lot at the end until there was no more air coming in and then I closed this little screw at the top again. I did it a second time but there was enough oil in the rear brake of the scooter motor! Question: Since there is enough oil in the rear brake, I only need to do it at the top of the brake lever so that the pistons go all the way back! Should I just open the small screw at the top and connect the short hose with the 20mm syringe and press the brake lever often until no more air comes out? But could that be the problem because I didn't screw the front brake onto the handlebars and didn't straighten it when bleeding! I screwed the upper brake on diagonally towards the ground and bled it because I can no longer get the upper brake lever open. Does the position of the brake lever at the top of the handlebars necessarily have to be screwed on and placed in a straight position? Could this be the problem why my pistons don't go all the way back in the NUTT brake because I had the upper brake lever towards the ground and not in a straight position like in the video?? Kind regards 🙂
Tbh I did it the lazy man way. I left the brakes as is level the lever then attached the plunger and started pumping the lever to pump out the bubbles. Yes it’s easier but it does take longer. It’s not the proper way at but it still works and you get about the same results. I would only bleed if my oil too old like let’s say after a year.
Congratulations for the video. A question: Can the stroke of the NUTT hydraulic brake lever be adjusted only by bleeding the brake fluid or is there another easier way?
Usually, do new hydraulic Disc brakes (NUTT BRAND) come with brake pads already installed? Do new hydraulic brakes need to be bleed before first use ? Thanks
No worries! Yes the oil seen in the video is the new oil which is transferred into the brakes, old oil should be transferred into the empty syringe at the top at the same time.

Was going to do a full bleed and change my pads but before I did so just wanted to know a few extra things Would I be able to remove the pads and just put the block into the calliper without the old pads do the bleed and replace with new pads after? Or should I replace the pads first then do the bleed Last thing on my rear break I had an issue and had to realign my calliper with the adjustment screws on the top (that allow the calliper to move back and forth) when I replace the pads should I unscrew them and hold the break down and tighten them to align the breaks? Or is that not how it’s done Thank you a lot if you get back with a reply :)
Hi I'm a little confused. I see you put mineral oil and but were does the old mineral oil get extracted from? In other words, how did you get the old fluid out of the system. (Sorry I'm totally new to all of this)
In the video there are 2 syringes, one that’s full and one that’s empty. As you squeeze the new stuff in, the old stuff gets put into the empty syringe

About 25 - 30 miles in the summer, half that in winter. But it all depends on so many factors, it isn’t a one answer question. Ride style, weight, temperature, elevation, tyre PSI, wind all make a difference in how much or how little mileage you get out of a charge. Hope that helps.
Chad,. There is no way you are getting 30miles with max power doing 35 mph. no chance more like half that. But if u ride slower and don't do high speeds then u can definitely eek it out. I would guess on normal riding I get about 20miles and that's mixed speeds I would say. But if u go fast more like 15 and if u are slowish then more like 25 maybe even 30 miles
You can - but you don't want to do that because any air bubbles in the system wont be forced out. So it's best to insert the oil from the bottom to force air out the system
@@SolarScootersukonly if you are pushing. If you are pulling oil from the bottom the oil on the top will get into the system. Pulling makes more bubbles put than pushing. Your method didnt work for me and for many people here sadly.

It’s because when you brake the pads and disk get hot and your clearly spilling oil onto your brakes This oil then burns as you brake as the disk get hot and this is the cause of the smoke - it’s oil burning
If you fill the brake tubes full while brake pads are engaged (no brake block) they won’t open again, they’ll be engaged constantly. So you have to fill the brake’s with fluid with brake block inserted to keep it from engaging. Hope that explains

@@SolarScootersuk how about the p1, keep in mind not eco mode using as much power as possible.
@@manman-hp1qq 25 - 30 miles in the summer! Half in winter.
Using dual motor is actually MORE efficient than using the single motor... this spreads the load between the motors rather than forcing one to do all the work.
Using the Regen braking also helps recharge the battery.
@@SolarScootersuk Oh okay, thanks very much I was considering this scooter but the miles pushed me away, thanks for telling me definitely buying this soon.
I just assumed that if I was going max speed the battery wouldnt last as long.
Were can I buy this syringe
Do you have to bleed both brakes ?
Yes but only if that particular break needs it.
realistically how far would i go if i was going 30mph and heavy rider weighing around 90 kg
Realistically 50 miles in summer, half that in winter
Is it recommended to remove the pads first?
You don’t have to but make sure not to contaminate them with the oil.
How do I align the disk break on the rear tire. It scrapes when it spins
You need a disk calliper bender tool, you can pick on up from Amazon.
I bled my nutt brakes exactly how you have shown it but it now has very little pressure and stopping distance is way to long. What can I do to pressurise it?
you may need more oil
How to adjust the pressure of the brake after all air is removed? I always got the feeling it's not tight enough. Less tension.
You might need to adjust yours at the pads
@@SolarScootersuk sorry, my bad. There was still too much air left. I had to do it once again slowly and now it feels firm. So far so good.
Are these brakes good?
Very!
Ciao. Che marca di olio è quello così verde?
You made that look easy
Is there a fast charger available for the standard P1, or is it exclusively for the P1 Pro?
Also sorry for asking again but, realistically if I was going 35mph on dual motors without eco mode how far would I go, heavy rider 90kg
It can be purchased separately on our website, only comes standard with the Pro.
Again it’s really tough to answer as so many factors come into it. But in the summer you can expect the rated range of 30 miles for the normal P1 at those settings you mentioned.
Hope that clarifies
@@SolarScootersuk Thank you very much.
edit: I can not seem to find the fast charger for the P1 but only a replacement standard charger
Thank you brother ❤
@@predonnealibaba You are most welcome brother
@@SolarScootersuk I want to buy the set, on temu I find shimano, tektro, sram, shimano, magura. Which one should I buy because NUTT is not there, but the parts are very similar to what you use. Thanks in advance
@@predonnealibaba doesn’t matter as long as you get a hydraulic brake bleed kit it should fit.
@@SolarScootersuk Thank you for the fast response. Love your channel! 💪🏾
Can I remove air bubbles without putting in new oil?
i tried without, worked for few mins. so i say not really lol. guess depends how bad it is. if u just got 1 bubble, and its comes up quick. u may get lucky. i know i tried lastnight and i not so lucky. i need to get a set and add oil.... on brand new machine cant ride it cause it has 0 fing brakes. really upset about it. legit flew into 4 lane intersection because brakes just were gone. luckily no car was coming.......
Are these nutt breaks perform well ????pls rply
Yes they perform well
@@SolarScootersuk thanks! im buying them for mn mtb.how is the breaks are they powerful?
@@supermotomadness7666 yes as they are hydraulic brakes they stop on a dime
@@SolarScootersuk thanks for the help
Just curious I got the same breaks and adjusted them but for some reason they still squeak when I hit the breaks… can seem to figure the reason why
Hi, ive done this but my regain break isn't working now. Any idea's?
Did you fix it?
@@sverre44559 no unfortunately not
@@wilkosproductionsmusic8808 I fixed mine
I did all of this, and my breaks are still easy to squeeze the the handle grips. Any ideas what is wrong?
Same with me
I was bleeding and put new oil IN my dualtron but when brake it Comes smoke fro the brake . What is this i noticed it direktly
It’s because when you brake the pads and disk get hot and your clearly spilling oil onto your brakes
This oil then burns as you brake as the disk get hot and this is the cause of the smoke - it’s oil burning
I bled mine and the brake lever is still spongy
did you fix it?
Yes I did, took a little longer but everything is stellar now.
@@CyborgNS6NL What did you do
@@sverre44559 Replaced the break pads and bled the breaks until there were absolutely no more bubbles. It took a little while.
What's the purpose of the brake block??
If you fill the brake tubes full while brake pads are engaged (no brake block) they won’t open again, they’ll be engaged constantly.
So you have to fill the brake’s with fluid with brake block inserted to keep it from engaging.
Hope that explains
@@SolarScootersuk Ohhh right! I totally got you now thanks mate 👍
@@SolarScootersuk 1 more thing sorry, I'm looking for a brake bleed kit, I'm only seeing kits for shimano, don't suppose you have any links? Thanks

Jokes aside, thanks!
😂😂
Why on earth did you not remove the brake pads? You could have easily contaminated those brake pads and the rotor ?
It is recommended. But I did say in the video to be careful not to contaminate them.
so last hour trying to find a kitt. that has oil and brake stop.......... yea not happening. wtf is wrong with stores. no1 carrys anything, no 1 sells complete sets. i just dont get it.

Great vid but you left out one of the most important things….what oil to use 😫
There’s probably thousands of different mineral oils in the world

If you're struggling you might want to email the team to have your scooter booked in with out technicians.
hello@solarscooters.co.uk
Garbage brakes
What did you do when you put the syringe in the break leaver?
Nothing - it’s just a vessel to collect the old brake fluid. When you pump from the syringe at the bottom
So does the whole break system need to be filled completely to the top with oil without any air in it?
@@SolarScootersuk thank you
@@GavinGrewal-np9sq yes, as the new oil is being put in, the old stuff gets put in the top syringe like in the video
@@SolarScootersuk excellent I had a crash on my Apollo phantom ludo and hurt my Nutt leavers and have got replacements so just needed to know how to re bleed the breaks. Thanks 😊
Are most kits universal?
Yes
Would this be the same process for p1 pro
Yes
