He said this in another one (I think one of the manc teams), he's going to defend his club, & I think because he's more than just a fan, like Rory, because he's got the business, he's a figurehead, wearing the jersey, he (at least feels probably), that he has to defend his team on cam. I do wish he was a bit more objective & fight the points he could & conceded the ones he needed to, like the dd vs Henry q: Rory saying Henry wasn't good in big games was silly when you see a pl h/l package of his banners against lvpl & man u, scoring against spurs, at rm & juve, but you have to say dd was not a great goalscorer, but turned up when his team weren't doing it & dragged them over the line, that's why he said he lived the wording of the q. & You could also argue what's the point without emotion, we'd just be watching robots, that passion dies need to come out a little, just not take control over the situation

Key word here is “was”. Arsenal was the bigger club and now it is not. Recent success makes Chelsea the bigger club. Arsenal has never won a European Cup nor back to back Premier League titles.
And yes the invincible lost 6 games that year across all competitions, not to mention drawing 12 games in the Premier League.

How can you be the best PL striker when you don’t show up in the big games. Aguero scored more goals than Henry and scored more against the "big six" than Dorgba as well as in finals and big games. Aguero is the best.
As a Chelsea fan, Henry is the greatest ever Premier League player. But Drogba was the man for the finals. Henry did score in a lot of big games. His record against the "big teams" was good. Plenty of goals against Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, etc and many of them were beauties. But if it's strictly final, then Drogba. There's only one final Drogba DIDN'T score, against Man Utd when he hit the post and got sent off.
He scored in every other final. 2 against Arsenal to turn the game around, two finals against Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham, Everton, Bayern, Portsmouth. Those are just the ones I remember. Chelsea won all but one of those (against Tottenham). You can't deny he was THE man for the finals no matter who you support.

people tend to forget that time moves and if you’re stuck in the past you’ll share the same views as robbie and them. when someone makes a decision on which club to support they tend to lean towards clubs that are doing well. you can’t tell me that there’s people who would willing support the likes of nottingham just cos they won the champions league all those years ago unless you’re from that area. the ratio of people supporting arsenal v chelsea is obviously leaning towards the chels. you can even use social media stats to test this theory. swole campbell just needs to stop living in dreamland and realize that clubs like chelsea and man city are overtaking them
As an American, right now I view Chelsea as the better club because of how much winning they've done lately, and they're definitely attracting a lot of American fans right now because of Pulisic.

@@mediacenterman8583 We didn't really start getting EPL or champions league games here, consistently, on TV until the early 2000s. And since then, all we've seen is Chelsea being at or near the top. So historically while many American soccer fans are aware of Arsenal's historic greatness, the only thing we've actually experienced watching them is Henry and early 2000 success. But Chelsea seems to have always been good, while the EPL has been available to us. Just giving that perspective.

People try to diminish Drogba’s career at Chelsea by painting him as an average player (in terms of productivity) but his numbers for us were very good in the Prem. I don’t think Lampard would’ve scored as many goals as he did if it wasn’t for Drogba doing what he does. He played 195 Prem games (in terms of minutes played) for us and contributed to 168 goals. Do the math, those are very good numbers. On top of that, he was a big game player.
Facts rival fan’s are just deluded and only look at numbers but then when we use stats against them they make out stats ain’t everything but that’s there only argument against drogba is that his stats weren’t as good as henry’s and shearer’s. Muppets
Henry played 236 premier league games (in terms of minutes played) and contributed to 258 goals, which is way better than what Drogba got (Henry 1.06 goals/assists per game - Drogba 0.86 goals/assists per game).

Chelsea actually were a very decent side when they were bought they had won trophies for 6-7 years in a row and were consistently in the top 6 and were creeping into top 4. Few years ago, Kroenke and Usmanov combined net worth were about $25bn while Abramovich net worth could have been $12bn. Obviously the argument that Chelsea bought the titles is no longer valid but Abramovich bought the club for hobby while the Arsenal's owners were for business. I'm a guy from Viet nam and i could say i love Arsenal for the first time i saw them and i don't know why. I began watching football at 10. There are tons of wonderful clubs at that times. I even knew Barcalona, Man Utd, Chelsea,.. before Arsenal. Chelsea have one every UEFA cup they're eligible in twice. With Arsenal winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup once in '94, and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 69/70. Like Rory said, they were bigger up until recently but you can't argue it anymore. Sure they have more domestic titles, but so does Saint-Étienne.

Many don't even have a particular team; many are fans only of individual players - Ronaldo has 384 million followers alone, and Messi almost 300 million!

The final match of the 02/03 season between Chelsea and Liverpool (the 4th place decider) was the closest Chelsea ever came to going under, if Chelsea had lost and not got UCL football then we would have gone bust, but we won 2-1 thus finishing 4th and saving the club before Roman decided to buy us.

I'm as neutral as can be and I can tell you with 100% confidence that Chelsea are the biggest club in London and that Arsenal are definitely not a "Sleeping giant." AC Milan are a sleeping giant, Liverpool were a sleeping giant, not Arsenal. I remember a financial report that covered 6 years of club net spend on players, was in the naughties, the numbers were (from memory so may be a tad wrong but not much)- Arsenal 125m, Newcastle 135m, Liverpool 160m, Man Utd 190m and Chelsea........680m. It's the % difference that was so big that bought them the trophies, Man Utd always were around 30% larger spend because they are the biggest club, what Roman did was financial doping on a massive scale.

My opinion as an arsenal supporter from a Chelsea family, Chelsea in terms of recent history absolutely the biggest club in London, overall history they would only be just behind, can say yeah arsenal have won 13 league titles and 14 fa cups, It’s those champions league titles that bring them right up to the level, it’s close for sure
Chelsea buying their success, I think we can all agree the first two maybe they brought, but when they won the double in 09-10 they’d already got the foundation from the earlier success and in recent history their net spend hasn’t been huge, not been small but no more than other clubs

But when teams in Europe are not doing well and your team is not worse than them, you can win the CL. Generally you cant win as many CLs as your league titles. Man Utd under Ferguson won like about 13 EPL but only 2 CLs.
