    Ive been wanting to do a rusty tool restoration video with the tools i find while out magnet fishing and the end restult blew my mind once i did some metal polishing on it.
    So i find a lot of tools magnet fishing in the UK canals and rivers and i have wanted to restore them for along time and now i can thanks to METAL POLISHING SUPPLIES UK LTD for sending me an awesome metal polishing kit.
    It wasn't a complicated process to do metal polishing but having the right tools for the job helped, i cant wait to do some more old tool restoration videos very soon.

    Can't believe that I just watched 12 minutes of you polishing up an old hammer head. It was so worth it, you made it interesting as you always do. Was thinking you could go to a craft fair and sell these things, with the history people would part with good money to own it.

    Absolutely stunning my friend! Some folks might say it is silly to use a thousand dollars worth of tools to save a ten dollar hammer head. But I wouldn't be one of them. Great video! thanks for taking us along!

    You'd think that had never been underwater for years and years, that was a great resteration, cant belive how you made it look so great,better than new, I was gob smacked to be honest, a lump of rust turned back to something beautiful.Great job and skills!! Serious 👏👏👌

    Try using a wire wheel on the next one and see if you get a different result and compare them. A grinding disk can be quite harsh. It’s great that you are showing how to save pieces rather than just turning them in for scrap.

    While I certainly applaud you in refurbishing that back to such a new looking shiny tool, what would you possibly use it on now? I would be afraid to use it and get it marred up now.

    I would also bring the grinder/polisher closer to the bench edge, better to move around and not stretch over to the tool..

    In order to get a flawless shine you need to have a designated wheel for each of the waxes. If it were me, I'd try a final buff with red, aka jewelers rouge. I know steel is harder than gold or silver but it will polish up as you have seen. - Your very own Mjölnir.

      If he’d flattened each beveled surface the polish would looked better also, rather than having a ripples surface with peaks and valleys all over.
