😂 I hear you! It's been in the upper 60s with rain, rain, rain and tomorrow we're supposed to get snow flurries. 💩

Busy time of year. At least daylight is lasting longer. Enjoy your visit. Good time of year for Mississippi trip.

Indeed it is! Yes, I'm loving the longer days. Thanks, Richard! I'm looking forward to it - haven't seen my family in quite some time! ❤

One of those food grade barrels with the screw on lid might keep the water out, but they're probably a lot bigger than you need.

I have the same problem with how to over-winter potatoes to get them ready for the new spring planting... So I'm interested in your experiments!

what if you put a rack in the bucket to keep the taters elevated a few inches off the bottom of the bucket?

I was even thinking of a spot under the roof of the carport...so have protection from the rain...

Don’t forget if you’re growing your beans this season, to give it a go along your fence line, leave open space for other produce. If you have an old mesh bag put your potatoes in hook up by the lid so they hang free not touching bottom, using couple buckets. Should work. 😉🤷‍♀️🥰 @AlleghenyHomestead

@@patience1226 Yup, that's a good suggestion too. I'm liking all these ideas!

@@inabates8919 I totally agree with your beans on the fence idea. I was a little worried critters might tear into them on the fence, but there's only one way to know! The mesh bag is a fantastic idea! ❤😁
