I had to laugh with you, regarding your little spreader, the struggle is/was real. I over seeded a couple acres of pasture with brome and red clover and mine was worthless. I ended up hand slinging it, wanted it down before it snowed. As far as crows eating your seeds, I put our pinwheels the vibrations keep moles out and the movement and flashiness keep birds away. Buy from the dollar tree.
There's never enough daylight for all the work on a homestead.

Sometimes the tools we have make things more frustrating to do! 😂 I'll be looking into picking up some pinwheels if them crows get pesky! ❤
