the german 'heftiness' is a myth. Not only the heaviness suggest under-developed design and material inefficiency, the weight has cost them losing wars. Like in WW2 the heavy Panther battle tank was rushed into service and again like the Tiger tank it was over its design weight with a lot of teething troubles. In the end they lost the ground battle to allies with their more efficient tanks.

The LS is heavier than the W221 on a similar V8 spec but I hear you on the eagerness to build in the feel of weight
