When you see the paint on the pickup showing through, that means you need to increase your ground speed so that you get a steady flow of product through the baler which makes a more consistent bale. Both tighter and the flakes are more uniform.

with correct ground speed, rpm, intake volume, roughly 11-12 strokes of plunger, bale should tying off?

I've baled 2 to 3 times that amount of grass with a 28 H. P. john deere B not thick grass

Thick grass? I've topped stronger crops after the cows had done grazing it.....
