Thanks for the video. Never saw this method before, or even heard it mentioned. Always looking for alternatives to the dropper loop rig. This one seems like it has potential for me too. I use a jig with nails and dowels to help me tie a proper, consistent dropper loop. It works, but this Mortician Surf Fishing Rig looks interesting and worth a try.
A great rig, i have been using this rig for a season now, and works very very well, Im impressed with the hook up rate, its also stealthy if you want it to be, and you can cast a long way without snap offs, and be able to present a thinner branch with hook and bait to the fish ... Ive tried many variations all work great, my favourite is to leave a small gap between hook and line using a double no8 knot, so the circle hook can swing a little, and this seems to hook the fish greatly ! , cheers mate
Mehhh I just snell the hooks,it only takes 4-5 seconds to snell a hook On your website you say you don't like the feel of the knot that ties on a leader when it goes through the tip.Never tried a FG Knot....it casts very smoothly.
Dark Backgroud needed so we can see the mono leaders

like the technique of attaching hooks nice trick to have when using slippery lines as shock leaders. tight lines
You need to use black table cloth in your videos
Thanks I'll try to use a better background in the future.

Thanks John
Cool, will have to try this.
cool rig....I made up a few....just to much work....easier to use the peg board method
Can the double or triple surgeons knot or the perfection loop also be used?
Any knot that keeps the hook leaders in place will work. Use what works for you.
monofilament against a white background , I gave up
Are you going to make anymore video's
Yes I will. Haven't been able to fish this year but plan to this fall.
