    Excellent Video Tony! I was once told by an "Old Timer" that fish like to take a nip at the bait before striking. Your video not only proves that.. but makes me wonder if the Pompano "Float Hooks" like 311Pope used to make are effective because the Hook is in the Float. I still make Float hooks but use a softer more flesh-like material made from flip-flops. Great Footage!

    Underwater says alot! I like using orange beads on my bottom rigs. I put some yellow floats on a rig for my nephew on a recent trip. He caught some nice Whiting on that rig.

    Awesome video to understand what generates fish’s interest in bait. Great stuff & God’s Mighty Hand of Blessing on all who believe & call on His Name. Keep it coming-

    Step right up ladies and gentlemen, welcome the newest Fishgum color, Banana Yellow... Awesome underwater video Tony, and you might just do the yellow Fishgum the way those fish are targeting it!

    Tony, Take a look at Neocaridina Shrimp these can be mixed in color but I thought these were only fresh water tank breed. Question for you is Yellow the best color? I make my rigs with orange and white Nice vid by the way.

    Recently after seeing this video and another by Tony with fish going after the float I glued the floats to the hooks on a double drop rig. I can’t say it resulted in more fish caught but there are bite marks on the floats.

    Shrimp!! Shrimp can change coloration when something is not right in their environment. If something isn’t right in their environment, that's probably the reason why some of them turn greenish.

    I love this video and is absolutely revealing.
    (I’ve learned from people older and wiser than me,)
    Predators need extra oxigen to attack their food. ( to compete with others and to catch
    The food) . So that’s why they populate trouble waters by the brake.
    They attack normally when sand starts to sediment after the shake.
    ( because water too sandy will hurt their gills)
    Here we can see that , every time a pompano attacks the float.
    Why the float? Because size, contrast and location makes it a sand flea look alike. And they react “ before is too late” before they dig.
    Why not the bait in the hook?
    Well, is too big for the fish size.. a big one will take it for sure.
    In my case if you offer me a slice or a whole pizza , I’ll take first the slice , something I can handle.
    In this case, swimming with something too big to chew , will attract more competitors and a possible fight.
    In this case, they have a chance to choose, and they choose what they consider the right size.
    I love this video, good job Tony!!!
    Regards.

    It's proved that pompano attacks the float without bait. Sadly the crab doesn't allow the pomp to grab that hook shell.

  • @cbayless4294
    @cbayless4294 2 роки тому

    It's not a shrimp but sea lice and I'm not talking about sand flees. Not sure if that one prays on humans or only fish.

  • @williambenner5550

    Why not put the bead right next to the bait? It may give you more bites on the fish gum.

    • @michaeleverton4882
      @michaeleverton4882 3 роки тому +2

      I slide some beads on some of my hook traces, just above the hook knot.
      If I use a Small sliding sinker there, beads protect knot!
      Two reasons, color attractive and knot protection!
      When I use heavier sliding sinkers, I often put a bead on main line, then tie onto hook trace swivel; bead protects knot from sinker!
      That's for my light tackle fishing! 🎣
