The lock isn't bad in the real world honestly. I have no disappointment in the goldfinger, it works extremely well!

They make the kits brand specific but basically yes it could be made to fit just about any thumb throttle unit

Great video. It looks like there is missing hardware on the right side. If you look at anything that uses that type of setup, there would be a solid piece of metal that locates and holds the end of the cable housing firmly so that it does not just flop and hang there, supported by only zip ties. Sorry I can't explain this better but if you look at any of the cables on a bicycle you will see what I mean. It just does not look proper to me. After looking at this more closely it also appears that the round barrel (they call it a throttle block) where you use the set screw to hold the cable and then put your crimp cap on next to it, there is also another piece missing from the design. I would not crimp the cable in this barrel. I would get a shorter barrel with a set screw in it, and put it after the first barrel and then let that be what is being pulled on from the left throttle. When pushing the right throttle, this would allow the throttle block barrel to slip or slide over the cable with no force required as opposed to what it does currently, it pushes the cable toward the left. This was a mind bender for me, having never seen this in person. I hope this post inspires others to take a second look and perhaps modify it to work better.

Everything works great and was installed as per manufacturer instructions. as far as their design it work just fine and has been in service in the snow mobile world for many years. If you feel the design could be improved I would contact the manufacturer to offer this advise as I am simply a individual installing products on my personal machine. Thank you for your support and mentioning your concerns

@acoustic4037 I agree with you. I have been running a gold finger and it is 100% missing that part to hold the cable to the throttle linkage . I made one out of an old v brake and it works beyond better then the old setup they provided.

Heck ya buddy I’m not sure why you use a left hand throttle I would be screwed with that setup either way big like and share from tbc bud

Thanks TBC! When you get stuck alot of times you have to lean way off the left side of the bike and you can't reach the throttle so this solves that
