- Video by Stephen Yates. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were goofing off (more than usual) during "What You're Doing"- Ged encouraged Alex to sing with him and that turned into him bellowing incoherently. We all were dying of laughter!

Always thought it was a sign of respect that Neil kept John's drum parts intact, didn't try to write him out of the band's story by rearranging these songs.
he rearranged some of john's songs, like In The Mood and Working Man
@@shallex5744 Also What You're Doing, Need Some Love, Finding My Way and Here Again. The only ones that I haven't heard Neil play on are Take A Friend and Before And After, but he probably rearranged those, too.

I was in the far left back for this show. Mind you this was my first and sadly last Rush show but I will always remember how hyped I was getting to the stadium and listening to the whole 2112 album on the transit ride there.

I love these guys! Alex is so hilarious... Pretty cool how they are playing the old schools rigs with the amps on school chairs. Class act and funny as hell.

Neil sure didnt. Geddy said neil was “fucking miserable” the entire tour. Geddy and alex wanted to go longer with the tour but neil couldnt wait for it to end. Neil didnt even want to do this tour and was in pain the whole time. He just felt he had to do it.
This was my 30th show and sadly the last. These guys have been such a huge part of my life since grade 7 and sorry to see them stop touring. But always still hopeful for more music. True ambassadors of Canada and all around great people.
48 for me. Saw this tour in Greensboro, NC. First show was the Meadowlands, E. Rutherford, NJ in 1982 'ESL' Tour. I was 12.

Me too. I was front center and had tears of joy and sorrow throughout-the boys knew we knew it was ending-and knew we loved them and understood. My older brothers turned me on when I was 6 and growing up in Cleveland. My number one band since. I could only get crap seats in Denver weeks before and my man knew he couldn't let that be my last RUSH show. BEST. GIFT. EVER.
These amazing guys have such a superb sense of FUN! It's totally infectious.
I was at this show, and I was remembering this exact part the other day.
I was fortunate to see them live 21 times.
First time was HEMISPHERES, and every year after till NEIL retired.even have his autograph,there will never be a band like this in anymore, thanks for all the MUSIC& MEMORIES. R.I.P. PROFESSOR.😢🥁🎼

Still playing songs off the first album even with their catalogue, shows they aged well.

I loved Rush 1975-2005....toward the end they became a joke. Giant Rabbits and Sausage machines, dryers and such....You want to joke around, do it offstage. On stage don't belittle the craft that so many of us wish we could have done. You notice the 3 or 4 times they have played since Neil died they have took it serious. They KNOW they took it too far on the BS.

@@keezles imagine just coming across it now, only a year after the death of their drummer. Lol Not upset just simply pointing out it is not a rant. As you should know rant has a negative connotation as well, and anybody who knows anything about Rush realizes these guys are very nice and down-to-earth. I'm quite certain you and your general demeanor would not want to be mislabeled for the whole world to see and would rather have it corrected 6 min rather than 6 years later...
This reminds me of his 'blah blah' speech. I don't know what is to be respected about this? Maybe some strange North American humour?
