  • Join me as I replace an "Ignition switch" or "harness" in a 1996 Chevy Suburban. This is a fairly simple job and should take 2 hours or less. This truck didn't have its tachometer or RPMS. Also threw check engine light for transmission shift solenoids etc. Check Engine light P0102 P0753 P0758 P1860 P1864 P1886 In the video I discuss what tools and parts you'll need as well as perform the detailed replacement.
Part number we used - "Duralast" L8697

I’ve been chasing an intermittent ignition problem for years and finally replaced my ‘95 Tahoe ignition harness thanks to this clear, concise video. Much appreciated.

All the other years were $30 for this wiring harness, but no, for a 1997 it was $150 for the harness.

    What is the e5 for?
I thought the e4 covered everything.
