Gosh, the segment where Chris was mentioning about the bar scene, making people dance and buy drinks made so much sense to me as well; Just don't have too many freebie drinks yourself while doing your gig was something I learned, too! Good STUFF, John!
John… I caught Chris’ brother Eric a few weeks ago at the Tinker Street Tavern in Bearsville, NY. Perhaps Eric would be a cool interview? Just a suggestion. ✌️
loved Chris's work with Paul Butterfield "s Better Days band. His groove with Billy Rich on bass on a live version of Countryside from Winterland knocks me out. Nice interview.
I remember one time seeing Stuff at The Lone Star and Chris handled the band on his own. It was fantastic. I’m saddened by the fact that Cornell Dupree, Richard Tee and Eric Gale are no longer here. That band was super tight!
Nice interview. I recall seeing Chris Parker twice in the 70s. The first time was at DAR Constitution Hall with The Brecker Brothers, who opened up for Return to Forever. The second time was with Stuff in Boston, at either Paul’s Mall or The jazz Workshop. He and Steve Gadd sounded great together. Chris’ groove is so deep. Thanks for all the inspiring music you’ve recorded over the years.
Chris is such a great guy and a great drummer. Fun interview.

Lucky to see Stuff at Mikell's in the 70s. Chris and Steve played well together, a genuine treat!
Fantastic episode. A lot of fun learning so much about Chris. Cannot wait until part 2!
Excellent 👍

These chats are seriously underrated. I hope, as the channel grows, more people find their way here.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Please tell all your fiends!
